Midomi is the best cause its ad free and it recognizes music sometimes a lot faster than shazam!

shazam limits the free version to only 5 recordings per month unless you downloaded it months ago, midomi is ad free now but the paid shazam versions (encore and red) still have ads

What are you babbling about, there are no tags and no files, both apps listen to the currently playing song on your tv/stereo/wherever via the microphone.

And humming really does work on midomi.
