  • I want YOU for my teacher.

  • nice playing by nice girl :)

  • che bella topa!

  • This beautiful old cuban song, was written by cuban composer Gonzalo Roig, author of many songs and zarzuelas. Leo Brower did the guitar arrengement.

  • @recafe1217 Thank you for clarifying!! I didn't know at the time of the recording.

  • Hi, great playing!!! I enjoy all your videos and I think you are a very expressive and natural performer. I like your selection of pieces, those are melodies that I have always loved. The only thing I wanted to clear out is that this melody was composed by Gonzalo Roig at the beginning of the XX century, Leo Brouwer just made the arrangement for guitar years later. It's a common mistake and most people think Brouwer compose this and also the "Afrocuban Lullaby"(publishers mistake)

  • @ninetymilesaway Thank you for the clarification!

  • Good show stickybun

I been looking for a guitar top of the pops hit back in the early 1980's. Dont know the name. Any chance you know

  • Always loved this crazy little piece. Great chromatic runs in it.

  • Very nice - Brouwer would have enjoyed that I'm sure. Strange guitar for such a nice performance but nonetheless excellent execution. =)

  • Hace algunos años esta hubiera sido una buena pieza para tocar ...cuando me encantaba lo clásico. Perfecta composición y ejecución.

  • That's virtuosity...^=^

  • nice dear

  • Very nice atmosphere!! Good job.

  • Highly accomplished....Wish I had your long fingers to stretch the fretboard....thanks for the video.

  • Very good! I really need to learn this one.

  • You are amazing keep doing what you do

  • Actually "Brujos" is not used as a noun, but as an adjective... so it's more like... Sorcerer eyes?

  • @DonPortulinus Yes, "sorcerer's eyes is more accurate. Thanks for watching!

  • Wil you marry me? .. and the give me some harmony lessons? hahaha

Congrats really nice intepretation , have you ever done something by Agustin Barrios?

  • @cheloba1 ... In which order? ahahahahha

Glad you liked it, and I definitely want to study the Waltz n.2 by Barrios.Loooove it!

  • beautiful!! i can hear all the voices that's very good, your legato it's so good congratulations!!!

  • @alejandromarinjamc Thank you! But I still want to do more work on that piece, it's so beautiful!!!

  • Hi Samantha, enjoyed meeting you at the festival. Congrats on your competition success!

    Craig

  • @nvguitarguy Hei Craig! Great to meet you too and beautiful playing!!! Stay in touch! Samantha

  • Stunningly beautiful...and the guitar playing isn't bad either!!!

  • Beautiful...and the guitar playing! Amazing,

  • eres hermosisima

  • you not only play very well, you are so hot!!

  • masterful playing! thanks, I listened to this while doing legal paperwork. : P

  • The original was composed by GONZALO ROIG, NOT LEO BROUWER. The original is a cuban art song, not a "folk theme". Maybe Brouwer arranged it for guitar, but the rights belong to ROIG, NOT TO BROUWER.

  • @jmvitiermusiclover Thank you for the clarification!!

  • Hey, you don't look like Manuel Barrueco. wheres your beard and gay perm???

  • Beautiful this is one of the most tonal pieces of Brouwer =)

    Are you married? =P

  • in this kind of musics is hard to sign with eyes, isn't it? ; )

  • Hey thanks for watching - The sound is not that great, I was just recording using my Mac's mike and I didn't plug in the Takamine. I know the guitarist you're talking about but name escapes me! I can usually memorize either from reading the score or just listening to it. It also depends on the piece. Merry Christmas!

  • Marvelous. Thank you so much for sharing this.

    Just absolutely endearing.

    Such grace and beauty!

  • People keep it in your pants! Nice playing by the way. 5/5

  • Really beautiful..... The playing ain't half bad either.

  • Thank you:-)

  • You play well, and your beautiful to boot! A small bit a criticism, please dont take it the wrong way, but I hear a bit to much string noise when switching positions. Maybe its the strings? (hard tension?)

  • Hi! No problem at all, any criticism, suggestion, etc. very welcome! Partly I'd say the strings, high tension Savarez, partly I don't think I was playing as cleanly as I should have:-).

  • @wsmcasey13 I met Liona Boyd after a concert and asked her what strings and tension she used. Would you believe she said Savarez extra high tension. Shit that's what I've been using for many years. Now I can't blame my strings. lol

  • Well this is the most asked question, but can you please give me the tablature to this song.

  • Hi! I learn all music by ear so I don't use transcriptions...but as you said, I've been asked tablatures a lot so now I've got to work on them:-). I will have them ready soon but in the meantime if you google the title of the piece and the composer, I'm sure you'll find the transcription, maybe even for free. Thanks for watching!

  • Lo mejor es cuando prendes y apagas la camara mmh. :)

  • Very funny! :-) Thanks for watching!

  • amazing!

  • Brava!

  • Watching your fingers is wonderful - near flawless technique. Very impressive, enchanting and sexy!

  • Thank you! But I definitely need some work on the technique, expecially this piece. If I replied to you already, my apologies, it just that sometimes the "replies" to comments don't seem to work.

  • Marvellous interpretation!!!

  • I like you.

    I do.

  • indeed, " bewitching "

wonderful performance, thanks for the details on your guitar and strings....

    5 stars,

    a risentirti.

    Riccardo

  • Si, dobbiamo smetterla di incontrarci cosi'... :-)

Scusami di nuovo e ti ringrazio per la pazienza, ciao!

  • Ok...I hate to be a total clod here but my lord you are beautiful and play beautifully!

  • You play very well. I like your way. Interesting, and very talented...Steve

  • Thanks Steve. There' s something about this piece that just resonates with me.

  • Thanks Steve! There' s something about this piece that just resonates with me.

  • Great ! Very good !Wonderful!

  • Thanks so much!

  • Thank you! It's a song that inspires many different feelings.

  • Beautiful song and playing

  • Beautiful! I really like the music of Leo Brouwer - great composer.

    Martin

    PS: *****

  • Very well played...I just never got into Leo Brouwer's pieces...His pieces dont stir up the feelings that the traditional classical guitar pieces give me.

  • Thank you!

I know, isn't it fascinating how different pieces generate different emotions, or none at all for that matter... it's all in the individual experience of who listens. It's the same in visual art, I think.

  • Nice.

  • Wow thats beautiful. I wish I would take more time to learn classical music.Great job,

    Spencer

  • Good job. Now there's a few finger stretches for ya.

  • awesome! thanks for posting it!
