**--PROBLEM SOLVED--** unit repaired by distributor
After talking to Motu tech support (I got a reply after 1 day) I sent the device to the distributor in Germany. They said that the board is fried (Probably because I connected the FW cable once up side down - The port is pretty wide so you can connect it both ways... flaw of design + reckless user).
so, I had to spend a bit for the repair, I think that in the US they do it for 99$.
Thanks for posting. I have the exact same problem with my unit and thought it was a driver issue... now I can stop wasting my time screwing with it.

@evshih send it to a MOTU dealer. In the states it should cost around 99$ and in Europe 99 EUR. (plus taxes)
they usually replace the hole device.
