Blink 182 is Alternative-punk. Horror-Punk is a subgenre of punk that was created in the 1980's by the Misfits. It came around by taking punky riffs on guitars and incorperating lyrics and images from horror movies and the like into them. I never said they were horrible, I said they were Horror-Punk. There are more recent Horror-punk bands such as Calabrese that fromed in 2003 and Blitzid in the 1980's as well. What I said earlier was not a typo.

That was when punk pretty much peaked. around the 90's it died out and Grunge came around with bands like Mudhoney and Nirvana. People will argue that punk lives on, but noone can contribute to the genre the way the Sex Pistols or the the Adicts can anymore.
