Clearly in this 1minute short answer the scientist means "I know from science that there will be many bad effects but so diverse and wide-ranging that I can't 'imagine' the full,complete effect" is what he clearly means.
As for: "Until we KNOW the results of a process [it's not ok] to act "
If there was a chemical added to your house's drinking water by an industrial company, you would never, ever say, "let's not act until we know fully, completely, 100% information about it"

well, your kids won't melt. But the shells of tiny sea creatures will.
So your kids may not have fish to eat.
Bigger picture: 1 billion people rely on fish as their major source of protein. Imagine a world without fish. . .

Even bigger picture: The ocean becomes unable to function as a major carbon sink, the atmosphere heats up due to an excess of anthropogenic out-gassing of greenhouse gases, of which the majority have no where to go, thus are retained in the atmosphere. Then over some period of years GAIAs climate adaption methods (see daisy world) are no longer able to sustain life, and we all die. Longer still, and the earth turns into another venus like planet orbiting the sun.

The reason I rated this a 'one' is because this gentleman is explaining a process and then says that he can't imagine what the results could be and that he is afraid. If he can't imagine what the results of his conclusion would be, what is the point? Perhaps the results are beneficial?
Until we KNOW the results of a process it is okay to be afraid....but NOT to act since we 'can't imagine' what the results could be.

He knows WHICH would be the results of the ocean acidification...he just says that he doesn't know WHAT RANGE the would be of!..Namely how much disastrous will be these results!..

the message is clear, can´t copy what the ~~cows~~ wanted to say.. an inspiring video that should warn everyone who still have not realised what has been happening.. think in broader picture!! it´s all linked together and we´re making it all more and more messy.. imagine your kids and their kids are swimming in the acidic ocean and start melting down in front of your eyes... the clock is ticking!!
