  • @jamesa119 Put a USB in ;)

  • thx

    works perfectly .....

  • hey can u help me , i want to create a bootable usb drive so i can use windows 7 on it and take my usb drive and my windows wherever i want (im not talking about how to make windows installation usb but windows that i can run from usb drive)

  • @shreyans94 That's impossible.

  • @0andrewsmith0 ehhh not totally :P

  • @shreyans94 The only conceivable way of doing this is put virtualbox on a portable drive and install a virtual version of Win 7 onto the same drive. You will not be able to boot into this installation however. You simply can't do it with the standard Windows kernel. Most other OSs do support it but Windows sucks in this aspect.

  • @shreyans94 if you have windows image then just download this tool called windows 7 usb dvd then there you are all ready for bootable windows 7...I have not been able to find the way to make bootable usb for other images though.....

  • How can I do if it said on that "WARNING! USB disk created from ISO image may not boot properly!"

  • great work dude :D

  • i'm receiving "SMART status: bad, backup and replace" and can't boot windows. i want to backup my files but i won't be able to. is there a way to retrieve my files?

  • which burner you are using?

  • I am having a problem im tried your scenario an it didn't work it does but when I try to make the USB bootable it gets an error saying i need admin privileges. I am the only Admin on the account i don't have any other accounts so what can I do I was gonna make another admin account and see if it works but it might not and the ISO don't have the run as administrator tab so i can't do it what if i make an admin account do you think it would work with that?

  • Holy crap, didn't realise this was the same guy I watched for the master system mod! I'm trying to install ubuntu this way on my old xblade server, though I'm having trouble.

  • @Whyupgrade Hey there! First off thanks for watching my vids and secondly yeah master systems rule. The best way of creating a bootable Linux USB is to use a free piece of software called Linux Live to USB. Go on google and search "Linux live to usb" and it is the top result. Great program that works wonders :)

  • @jawsykilla Thanks for the response, however I'm still unable to boot. The BIOS is set up correctly with USB-HDD as first boot device, but it just won't do it. Could be a problem with the ROM.

  • dude ive got problem i downloaded a snow leopard installer os, its in iso file how can i create CD/DVD image in that case? my ultraiso version is 9.3.6.2750

  • I followed the instructions....restarted pc....and tried everything...boot it just won't boot from the usb ..any ideas?

  • @kamikazeOS Dunno about your computer but i got a acer laptop, when it starts up i have to press f2 as fast as possible then enable f12 boot options. if that works keep pressing f12 at startup then got down to where it says usb, and done! Good luck

  • @aturtlenamedfee thanks for the reply...it was the iso....for some reason it was corupted...didn't load in virtual drive either.

  • Thank you!

  • ok so what if the laptop doesnt turn on at all cause there is no operating system

  • @imontrack21 you can run the bios and boot it.

  • doesn't seem to work properly with lubuntu 11.04; when i boot my pc with the flash drive plugged in, there is a message SYSLINUX version blablabla and nothing further. used to work like a charm with lubuntu 10.04 though.

  • thanks man..

  • FYI FOR WINDOWS 7 USERS, If you cant get it to find your flash drive, end the program and run it in compatibility mode using Windows XP SP3.

  • i dont have "write disk image" comand on any ultra iso application :S what should i do? :S

  • The main reason good people like this had to demonstrate how to boot things using other media is cos OS software producers got all cheapskate and stopped supplying disks. If they were still supplied then these copyright issues would not arise so often.

  • Is it possible to load up any ISO file (WINDOWS 7) on UltraISO, then hit "write disk image"?

  • if you use windows vista or 7 you have to run ultraiso as an adminsitrator (rightklick on ultra iso >> run as administrator)

  • @antonamb >

    :ooo

  • it show 'you need admin privileges to run this operation' ...can you tell me how to make it works?

  • @rasyidsabak When you run the program, instead of double clicking. Right-Click and select "Run as Administrator"

  • @rasyidsabak for God's sake....if u don't know this better stop working on pcs!!!

  • can this work 4 games

  • @dragonman1083 I don't know, you can try! Oh and don't post registration info on here or you will be blocked!

  • @jawsykilla i only helping

  • @dragonman1083 Yes your helping is appreciated but spend it elsewhere, not on copyright infringement. Thanks,

    Jordan

  • Helped me alot

  • OMG, you'v got a LOT of ammountant of GB on your computer!

    more than 350 gb!!

    P.s. i'm jealous

  • @mees1999 I only has 250GB :(. 62GB's left :o

  • @wasitrealy Alright, But i am still jealous. i have 2 (old) laptops. one with a 40 gb hdd n one with a 36gb hdd.

    So..

  • @mees1999 I'm still looking for a 1TB one for really cheap, lol.

  • @wasitrealy Here in the UK they are £42 for a Western Digital 1TB, from TigerDirect in the US you can also get a Western Digital for $59.99, I'll send you a link via message.

  • saturn v??

  • @mees1999 Yeah it's my computers "name", I name all of my computers based on NASA creations. They sound cool :)

  • I tried selecting my disk drive & the list just had 3 G:/ Drives.

My usb is on the J:/ drive . Help ?

  • Awesome... Thanks man!

  • very nice man u r good

  • UltraISO is a sweet program...been using it for awhile specifically for this feature. Works on just about every OS -- xp, 7, rhel, centos, etc.

  • @surgeyX Thanks for the information, I can confirm it works for all distros of 98, XP, Vista and Seven. Also works for Fedora x86/64, Ubuntu x86/64 and Linpus Lite!

  • thanks

  • thanks man!! ur d best

  • Thanks man! Very very helpful video

  • ye bootable hai na yar??

  • @NikiBoy27ya re

  • ye kase kiya hai yar

  • ye kase kiya hai yar

  • Wow, people are arguing over external boot devices? Ofcourse you can boot from external devices. There are plenty of guides and tutorials about. You could easily install an OS to an internal drive and then put it in an external enclosure then boot from usb. The fact of the matter is the external hard drive must have something written to it's MBR if not it will not work... - Jordan

  • dude can you delete the bootable stuff, when you're done with it, just a last minute chec

  • 4people got blu-ray reader XD

  • Thanks :)

  • @abadiqaisy123 A blue screen could be one of several things. Blue Screen of Death? or a BIOS boot screen? Either way something is wrong with the cloned xp on your external hard drive. It is probably because your External drive does not have any bootloader written to the MBR so it can't boot anything. XP was not written to be installed or ran from an external drive so I believe it would be quite tedious and difficult to get it working. Use Google and type "Install XP on external drive". - Jordan

  • @abadiqaisy123 what?

  • @abadiqaisy123 go learn how to use a pc first then talk to us :P

  • @mahmood369 loooooooooooooooooooooool am better than u! i just did those fucking comments because i tried everything to put windows on my external so do it you lets see and if you get a fucking BSOD ill kick you

  • @abadiqaisy123 worked ive done installation of windows with an external hard drive and no bsod haha

  • @mahmood369 to boot from a harddisk is different because those externals doesnt have jumpers they just run as slaves like you XD

  • @abadiqaisy123 who laughed reading the comment put a thumbs up to this if you did if not thumbs down on his comment

  • is this work for a netbook

  • it says you need to get admin priveleges to run thid operation how to get that

  • @anuj19931 when you run UltraISO, instead of just double clicking, make sure you right click and then click "Run as Administrator"

  • ok.. and how do i get the stick to normal state?

  • @sauronhall What do you mean normal state? If you mean so the disk image can be burned to then UltraISO does this for you.

  • @jawsykilla .. I mean, i've done what the vid said. (Good video) but now i want my 8 GB back, the stick says 'unknown capacity' on my PC and I was not able to format it normaly... but now that I've inserted it into another notebook, its free space is recognised and I think I might be able to format it.

  • @sauronhall Okay on this new PC just find your stick in windows explorer, right click it and format to NTFS. It should work on any new windows OS then.

  • i only have Make disk image and not Write

  • @sauronhall Then you should get a different version of UltraISO and make sure you register it.

  • great vid, brother!

  • very nice and easy, thx

  • i'll see if this works for Windows 7 , hmm i think yes it will work :P

nd i wann knw if i connect my USB to my pc when it loading it will load AUTO right?

    Cheers for the VIdeo :P

    suscribed to ur channelxD

  • @cheat2kil Aup, thanks for watching, commenting and subscribing. This method can be hit and miss with Win 7 depending on version and architecture. I have had success with this and failures but if it does not work then check out my "Easy How To Make Bootable USB" tutorial which 100% works with every distribution of win 7.

    Cheers,

    Jordan

  • THank you SO MUCH !!! Awesome post . YOU R THE BEST !!

  • i love you accent. specially when you said i quit it.

  • when i pres write on ultra iso say "you need admin privileges to run this operation"

    help pls :(

  • @biohazard075 When you run UltraISO, make sure you right click it and click Run As Administrator.

  • By booting with stick:

Error: INF file txtsetup.sif is corrupt or missing – Status, 18

    PLS HEELP!

    :-(

  • @Lightrealm95 Hi, check out my other Bootable Tutorial. It solves this problem. For some reason Windows XP Pro doesn't like to be put to a memory stick this way either. So go on my channel and look for the other bootable tutorial and you should find it. It's even easier than this one. :)

  • @jawsykilla Thanks, I will test it out

  • @jawsykilla if i try the other one nothing happenens... This method was better :-/

  • thank you :)

  • yo

    u talking too damn much

  • @marsbar810 Yo, dont watch it then. I would take the advice for other tutorials that I plan to do but seeing as you are the only person to complain about my explanation I don't think i will.

    Cheers,

    Jordan

  • Noo! When I want to write the disk image it just find disk drive: (G.

    Usb stick is in M:

  • @Lightrealm95 You need to run as Administrator

  • thanks so much very understanding great vid

  • Thank you so much. My ACER notebook completely crashed and i booted it up using the info in your video and now its better than ever. THANKS!!!!

  • THANKS BRUV.

  • if you are using vista or win7 make sure you are running ultraiso as admin! i sat there like a dumb ass trying to figure it out but now it's working like a charm...so far.

  • thanks this helped me.

  • wen i try to instal the xp it show thizz "'INF file txtsetup.sif is corrupt or missing"" why dont it work

  • you just need copy the all data of the cd to the usb device ! LOL for example the entire windows xp cd copy all the files to the usb and then you boot from the usb on the bios system , well i think thats more easy

  • @digitalmasterdata The method you mention does NOT work. The only way you can copy data from your installation cd is if you have a vista or win 7 disc. Even then you have to make sure you create an active ntfs partition on your usb stick using a partitioner like gparted or diskpart and then you have to get the bootsect info from bootsect.exe on the installation cd and transfer it to the usb drive. So people, do NOT just copy over installation files. it does NOT work. Cheers.

  • @jawsykilla that is not true as I have installed Windows 7 multiple times by USB

  • @Speed08rACEr Sorry this new youtube layout messes up replies. What did I say?

  • how do you make programs run tho?? so that i can install it??

i did all that and i dont know how to run it

    thnx for the vid

  • @erick36594 You need to use this to install an OS then put your os to the USB via this method then restart your pc and enter the BIOS and set USB-HDD as first boot device. Save and restart and it should boot into the usb stick and begin the OS installation.

  • Thaks mate, great help

  • Thanx man

  • Hi,

I have 1 TB External Harddisk. I would like to install windows 7 in the external harddisk. Will it work with the laptop (Windows Vista) together.

  • @eesh1982 Installing Windows to external hard drives via USB is finnicky and most of the time just flat out doesn't work when you try to boot into it. If you have an eSata port on your pc I would say best bet is to get an external hard drive enclosure with eSata. And then you could just install to the external drive like it was inside your own machine.

  • this realy helps, thanks

  • So could u use this for any iso file?

  • @redbaaron123 If you have a bootable ISO file yes you con burn it as a bootable USB so it is just like a dvd disc or w/e. You won't be able to boot into before you enter your operating system however unless it is some form of recovery or specialist software.

  • MY NAME IS ASAD

BLACKSHADOW69: THERE IS ANOTHER ERROR AFTER "INF txtseetup.sif"

  • helpme

inf file txtsetup.sif is corrupt or missing, status 18

setup cannot continue . press any key to exit

  • @nizamanix Try my other bootable usb tutorial which works flawlessly. Some people get errors with this method but the other method no errors so far.

  • For those who have « file INF txtsetup.sif error statut 18″ rename the directory i386′ to minint and it's done ^^

  • @BlackShadow69 Thanks for the info BlackShadow69!!!! Haven't tried it myself but I will and let everyone know if it works.

  • how to make it run from the bootmenu?

  • @zloadesf What do you mean? To set your usb to boot up go into your BIOS and put USB-HDD as first boot device.

  • @jawsykilla you mean if you install an operating system to the usb then you want to be able to choose to boot in to that operating system? You could do this by editing the boot.ini file in windows but I don't recommend it. Easiest way would be to specify USB-HDD as first boot device in your BIOS and then when you want to boot into the os on the usb you would simply leave it in the USB port on boot up.

  • @jawsykilla

i have a phoenix bios but how do i get in there?

  • @zloadesf when you turn your computer on keep hitting DEL and it should boot into the BIOS if that doesn't work just look at the bottom of the screen when you turn your machine on and it will say what key to enter BIOS.

  • thanks friend

  • THNX man!

My cousin destroyed my pc's OS and this let me get a fresh copy!
