The husky guy, Travis Stever, to the right of the singer plays lead guitar, the singer plays the guitar, as well. The scraggly guy to the left of Claudio, the singer, is Mic Todd. The drummer is Josh Eppard.
it sounded like old P.A. music, which made me want to cry. I wish that Coheed would release these songs as downlaodables or a CD or something. I hope they do, too. it would be a great change for them.
ok a response to everyone who is debating about the story behind this and co&ca many other songs.
yes, all of these songs have a meaning to them that lead to a story, but on one of their live concert dvd's (hammerstein ballroom i think.) he says "yes all of the songs do have a story behind them, but i really made them so you can branch off and make your own interpretation of the story."
so evryone's opinion is right. no need to debate about it.
actually not everyone's opinion is right...yes he does make it relatively vague lyrically so people dont have to be way into the story to enjoy the songs but the story itself is pretty much the way it is...there can't be several interpretations of a story that is set to graphic novel...that is like saying there can be different interpretations of the Spiderman or Ironman stories
I think when he looks up it could be he's looking up to Ambelina since she is killed in volume I. Even though this song is Al saying goodbye, Claudio looking up is just his way of saying goodbye to the character.
What ever it was, i love this version of the song and I would love to learn it.
oh i know it just seemed like u didnt know, but um i think a favor house alantic is about when al the killer bids farwell to newo... i think.. and im not sure how he could relate that to his life cause al the killer is a crazy mo fucka.
(...continued) I don't know TOO much about Claudio's bg, and so i'm asking this in ignorance, but is this song about someone in his life that passed? I'd greatly appreciate a response
sorry to wreck your emotional moment but all of coheed and cambria's songs are strictly wrote around a story/graphic novel that claudio wrote and is still writing.
I know that, but at that moment it seemed much more than that. You should also know that many ideas and story behind the comics are based on his life.... I'm not trying to start a fight, but I'm convinced that this is an example of something from his life. Thank you for your response.
the lyrics aren't strictly based from the story, he lets his life and personal experience guide the story in some ways...like it started off being just a story about his trip tp Paris...then he tweaked it a little
omg. a tear came to my eye... pay close attention to cladio's eyes at about 2:28. He sings the line "bye bye beautiful" up to heaven with a smile on his face as if he was looking right at his lost loved one and was happy to be speaking with her... Kind of pathetic, but it was one of the most powerful things I've ever seen in recent memory. It was a beautiful moment in general.
i thought it was kind of funny how josh is the only one who lost weight during his career, while the rest put the pounds on! very uncommon for a touring band.
holy shit his voice is epic as balls in this video
