Easiest, most efficiant way to win:

build 5 scorps, take over nearest base

make 3 vultures, and the rest scorps (with the +10 unit upgr)

max out turrets, MAC, scorp ugrs, vulture upgrs, and you can kill a base with a shield in about 5 seconds.

Easiest, most efficient way to win? Slow, involving 2 reactors built, a base takeover, 2 more reactors, an air pad, a vehicle depot, a lab, plus shitloads of upgrades. ur talking about building up the unstoppable army, which is fun but takes too long

Most efficent way to win is elephant+5 supply pads, train marines + hellbringers, if u lock down the elephant near their base and keep producin units and a reactor then a spartan u get the most effecitive army in a short space of time

i wish they would have let you play on legendary difficulty, heroic is not much of a challenge. i can easily beat the heroic a.i. in under 7min

An easy way to win is just to make all supply depots and one barracks and just make all ODST. Very effective.

I play on Heroic and at first I build all supply depos then I create turrets then barracks then once my army is to max pop. and almost all upgrades I attack the enemy. -luger700

What I do is put two supply depos upgrad em, build a reacter upgrade it then build the rest. BUild air attack and heavy armour and own.

@ tubesuperfreak Whenver I try to do that I dont earn enough resosorces to build heavy armor. Heroic Difficulty is pretty damn hard though. -luger700

What you need to do is take control of the rebel base quickly. build more reacters/depos, then send in three squads ussually consisted of 1 tank, 3 infantries, a spartan(Upgraded to spartan lazer), and 2 warthogs PER SQUAD, then if things are looking down I send in my air support.

I rush with the warthogs, not even have to use other thing, not even spartans... what i like bout them is that covenant almost always deploys honor guard, that has no range attack (only melee), the warthogs do have range attack, so you can run around the poor bastards and knockem out without even having a scratch.

By the way, is it just my impression or is the human faction overpowered?

No, I think it is pretty balanced. With Covenant you can get vehicles and air out really fast, which would be a good counter to this. The AI in the demo isn't that good though.

The AI isnt good even on heroic, i beat them with UNSC in aprox. 10 min. i rushed with warthogs and mac gun. The AI is pretty easy IF you rush it, cuz otherwise it will beat the crap out of you. lol

yes but its ment to be, the covenant has more available units and takes less time to build, also they get scarabs and more special upgrades

So, the covenant player must be a constant "pain in the ass" for the human player in order to have him pinned down from the beginning, huh?

I'd like to see how the flood interacts with all these strategies, though.

Guess I'll have to wait 3 more weeks. Damm it.

Well i think they are balanced but their special forces are unbalanced. for example spartans own the convenant special forces.

Spartans with spartan lasers own almost anything, I think.

But, that's the point, if you let your enemy progress until he has 3 spartans with lasers... well, not too well played.

You're also limited to 3 Spartans and they can build Honor Gaurds until their population limit is full.

besides, covies have the profet and you can rush humans pretty easily, using the ray, wich consumes your resources while you use it, but you dont let the other guy crate units, unless they garrison the new units in their buildings... i want to play it on LIVE !! AI is frustrating.. and boring.

It's not that hard. Concentrate on many suplie depots and one barracs, or even an elephant early one to train soldiers quickly, and when you have like 10 or so, atack with them and the elephant, and deploy the elephant near the covenant base. Your units will die eventually, but, while you have the elephant deployed and training marines, victory is yours :)

That's what I do, and I send i 2 vultures and 3 hornets for some air support.
