  • Top played on my iPod (258 views). And I'm still not sick of it(: I don't think it's possible to grow tired of this song.

  • It is absolutely breathtaking. He creates this wall of sound that just blows you away. I love Jonsi <3

  • Jonsi I love you and your music

  • look up "while the city sleeps-bridge", same kind of playfulness and colourful soundscapes!

  • This song makes me imagine the adventures of a feral child and friendly wolves.

  • I'm starting to question why I still listen to pop music . . . this is SOOO much better!

  • @alishakamal25 wait, what the movie?

  • This song is so incredibly beautiful...no matter how bad I feel, Jonsis music always gives me such a bright smile on my face...Can't stop smiling even if I look like the biggest idiot..^^ Jonsi is THE composer of the century..!

Well..please don't see this as a spam, but this might interest some of you..

I found a band on youtube called "nyctalgia"

If youv'e got time, listen to their song "Lost in timeless horizons"

    Breathtaking powerful song...

  • my girl told me about thisB00rek site where you can see new videos, try there

  • how beautiful.

  • THIS.

    THIS.

    THIS IS JUST AMAZING.

This should be the Type of Music flooding our Radios and Music channels, Not that So-called "Pop" or "Rap" They have now, That;s nothing Compared to Jonsi <3

  • @Xchloe1000X Long live Awesome Pop, Awesome Rap and Alternative!!!! Do you know MIKA?

  • that mountain looks a lot like a ferret... :P great song btw. Its great!!

  • search for "wtcs-bridges" jonsi fans will love it!

  • he's got such a great voice. I love him !

  • i just saw jonsi live last night he is just amazing all around.

  • Jonsi is great, but Sigur Ros is Music.

  • i looooooooooooooove it !!!

  • Yes, lilikoi is Hawaiian name for passion fruit. AWESOME SONG. I'm downloading the album right now

  • Is a Lilikoi like a feral child?

  • @MovieFreak555 I believe it's a type of fruit... (I think it's something like a passion fruit, or so I've been told anyway!) I thought that at first, I did think it was part of the OST for "Where The Wild Things Are" at first. :)

  • @MovieFreak555 Lilikoi is actually a kind of passion fruit, but yeah, I think that's what Jónsi was going for: Wild, passionate, unfettered, and truly alive.

  • I never heard Jonsi before, but I REALLY REALLY like him! :3

  • tinkley tinkley tinkley, squeaky, squeaky, squeaky,...where is the bass? I like it but there is something missing!

  • @Sandyhendry No one likes the bass player, kinda like the drummer, thats why there not the stars lol :)

  • @midocrimsonfate. Actually I like Sigur Ros music and always found his singing a bit annoying. You can dis the drummer and the bassist but they are always understated and simple and let the music build up slowly. This is overcomplicated from start to finish.

  • tyler oakley had this song in his japan video :)

  • Jonsi is the reason i'm soo in love with Iceland<3

  • I'm smiling like an idiot while listening to this. :)

  • just...love it <3

  • JONSI JONSI JONSI JONSI JONSI JONSI JONSI JONSI JONSI JONSI JONSI JONSI JONSI JONSI JONSI JONSI JONSI JONSI JONSI JONSI JONSI JONSI JONSI JONSI

  • I love this type of music!!! Most of my friends dont but idc! Haha!!((: im in love with this dude!!

  • For some strange reason I started crying LOL so dramatic

  • i dislike the ppl that dislike this.

  • am i the only 17 year old who likes this kind of stuff?

  • @psion0027 no, sigur ros are amazing but this album is just......... wow

  • @psion0027 No, I'm 17 and loving it!

  • NO MATTER WHAT - Everytime I hear Jonsi's voice I feel like in a paradise *A*

Those 38 people shall burn in hell

  • epic

  • Hipsters are the prime example of the collective mistake of misunderstanding music...they are the regurgitation of seductive media ads and commercials. THEY KNOW NOTHING, and absolutely NOTHING of great music. And Jonsi (Sigur Ros also included!) is great fucking music. It is creative, it is abstract-along with its art-and meditative.

  • one of the few songs left these days with feeling......

  • Well done Jonsi.

  • this is amazing

  • The soundtrack of heaven!

  • GREAT JONSI!!

  • this is incredible also hauntingly beautiful its like when i'm listening to it i'm in a whole another world

  • This music gets me in touch with nature somehow lol. It fits so well with it.

I guess that means this is REAL MUSIC.

  • @MrArekusa The musicians from The Faroe islands and Iceland have a way of doing that ;)

  • @Zeikid Yeah I know, I'm icelandic :P

  • @MrArekusa And it came from me, lol :P

  • lovely as ever and evermore this music will reign

in my heart and soul as well as mind

  • love it!....he has a GREAT voice.....

  • Comment removed

  • so cute and peaceful!

  • i'm definitely not yet used to the whole singing in english thing/actually understanding what jonsi is saying....will take some getting used to haha. i'm liking this though,,, i'm sure it will grow on me

  • pitchfork is just like every other 'review'. it's a damn opinion.

  • this sounds a little like Mew to me

  • you don't have to think that's a gay style song..it's jonsi's music! close your eyes and let your mind flows in his wonderful world! :) we have to admit he has a wonderful imagination...

  • Le Dieu de la music oui oui c'est bien lui !

  • This kind of music cant be created in any other country but Iceland.

Closing my eyes, Jonsi takes me there.

  • @Jun0794 I have about 3 or 4 bands similar to this on itunes that aren't Icelandic...So, you're sort of wrong.

  • @Dispozition buzzkill much

  • @Jun0794

That's a bit against the egalitarian spirit of the music, don't you think?

  • @lumburgapalooza

My comment was an exaggeration little bit, I know. I'm so sorry for that.

But I think Music and place is like mother and son.

So, I wanted to say beautiful country like Iceland helped to create many beautiful music including their songs.

  • @Jun0794 hahahahaha!!!!

    where is jonsi taking you?

let me close my eyes and see where his taking me.......

but yeah, his music is awesome!!

  • Iceland is The Best Country in the world!

  • ísland er besta land í heimi og sigur rós er besta hljómsveit frá besta landinu í heimi og jónsi er snillingur og mesti tónlistamaður íslands!

    Elska þetta lag !!!!

  • Oh it's so beautiful and meaningful I get tears in my eyes every time I listen to it...

  • The music is not a smallest bit worse without Sigur Ros.. I guess even if they are on hiatus, if we have Jonsi we are going to be fed with great music.

  • Jónsi my new favourite singer!

  • amzing ive got a feeling this album is gonna be amazing

    x

  • pitchfork def. loved this song...

anyway, go do is pretty awesome as well

  • Lyrics are wrong in the vid info. go to wiki music and copy it from there :P

  • That's good to know. Thank you so much. My life is changed.

  • Dancing my pants of to this one!!!

I trully love it..............Paris here i come. Worth the 500 miles there and 500 miles back. Roll on April til I get my hands on the album!!!

  • love

  • pitchfork sucks, they think theyre too cool for anything

  • you could win a grammy, have one of the best selling albums of the decade.. and they'd still give you a 6.4 (ask miss winehouse)

worse is the 5.3/10 they gave coldplay's debut ^_^ (lack of substance and it's forgetable apparantly..)

    yhea this calls for kanye!

cause it was one of the best albums off all time, OF ALL TIME xD

  • Actually pitchfork really liked this :) they gave it an 8

  • Fuck it. This song is top so just shut the fuck up and enjoy :)

  • I just read a pitchfork review for this guy and they stepped all over it. Why is it these hipsters hate EVERYTHING nowadays?

  • Whenever I read Pitchfork, I usually buy whatever they hate, and end up loving it more than the stuff that they rate highly.

Hipsters have no logic, you're better off just ignoring them.

  • @AptivaXL i don't know, i just read the pitchfork review for this song and gave it an 8/10. is that really stepping all over it?

  • @SpecialtyCookware First off, I was referring to his first album, which for as amazing as it was pitchfork gave it a 5.3/10. Forgive me if I'm wrong but I'm assuming you're new to this scene (under 21-24) and are one of the people give pitchfork some kind of credit. Dude, Pitchfork as a reputation for giving people shit reviews based on how far they think they'll go then giving them higher ratings for their 2nd then shitting all over their third album. They're hipster pieces of shit.

  • @AptivaXL i'm not actually, but thanks for the assumption based on cursory information. i don't personally place much credence in the opinions of pitchfork's writers, but i couldn't find the review you were talking about, that's all. i more or less agree with your evaluation of them.

  • @AptivaXL

they gave 'Go' an 8.1, that's a great score

  • @LfunkeyA That's my point... it's because he's getting popular. Let's see what they give his third album after hipsters start getting tired of him.

  • @AptivaXL pitchfork hate everything hey

  • @AptivaXL Actually Pitchfork gave the album 8.0 out of 10.

  • @AptivaXL oh sorry just saw that you already read that. well regardless, opinions are opinions. Music is subjective, man, so relax and just enjoy this album for what it is, wonderful. Pitchfork liked it, so do you, they may get tired of Jonsi in a while, but just wait and see if that happens before getting worked up.

  • @AptivaXL They gave the album an 8.1 - thats like, incredible for pitchfork!!

  • @AptivaXL Sorry, just read the rest of the conversation. Fair point.

  • @AptivaXL 8.1 is a pretty high score for pitchfork.

  • @AptivaXL they gave the album 8.1 out of 10 I don't see how they hate it.

  • @scrapee you got to hate the new comment system, it's really confusing, they shouldn't look to twitter for things like that

  • @AptivaXL hipsters? they have plenty of underground music on that site. everyone has to like this album or something? to be honest, i love sigur ros, seen them several times live but this album is ok. some good songs but a lot of it sounds the same.

  • @AptivaXL the review was pretty favourable, actually.

  • @AptivaXL . but the rating at Pitchfork for Go is 8.1. that's almost...perfect, no? How's that stepping all over it?

  • @hwaihwe I'm guessing he's referring to the Riceboy Sleeps album.

  • @AptivaXL It doesn't suck, so it can't be good according to the hipsters... I mean, come on!

  • @AptivaXL They gave the album an 8 - that's pretty good in their eyes for something that isn't Animal Collective related.

  • @AptivaXL because they're stupid that's why

  • @AptivaXL Because if anyone likes something besides a small fraction of said hipster crowd it's no longer 'cool' to them and therefore, has no worth. How can a hipster possibly be seen as pretentious as they should be when they're going around liking something so 'mainstream'? *eyeroll*

In England we don't call them hipsters, we call them dick'eads. True. :)

  • @AptivaXL hipsters...lol...

  • @AptivaXL they hate everything they can't do.

  • Melody at 2:31 sounds a lot like "The Bucket" by Kings of Leon (better though)

  • @captainsealook

I thought the same thing when I first heard it. This song does with a little more power while The Bucket is a little more mellow.

  • is sigur ros still making music together? cause jonsi and his bf made an album now this.

  • At their official website it is said that "the band celebrated the release of 'takk...' with an extensive world tour, playing their largest shows to date, including a headline show at the hollywood bowl. they are then taking a well deserved break before beginning work on new material."

  • @acho1992 the website is outdated. "med sud eryum..." was released after takk and it's been out since last year.

  • Indefinite hiatus is the official word, I think.

  • @YourHumbleNarrator21 They had another album in progress but it was put on hold.

  • so beautiful. can't wait for the whole CD

  • such an uplifting song, its the most incredible thing to drive to when its snowing

  • this song is an explosion of colours

  • Heart pounding-ly incredible! The energy is impossible to ignore.

  • this is amazing

can't wait to see him at terminal 5!

  • COACHELLA!!!

  • I really wish I could see him live

  • wow. dare i say that this looks to be an upgrade from sigur ros?

  • No, you dare not. :)

  • i got to meet him at his first art show in the u.s. he was so nice, and comes up with some of the most beautiful stuff my ears have ever heard.

  • this sounds kool.. im gonns check him out at coachella

  • This song makese me so happy. :D But what happned to Kjarri, Orri & Goggi? :(

  • @remsta2 theyre still making stuff!

  • @remsta2 They have become fathers. They're probably quite busy at the moment. :-D

  • It reminds me of where the wild things are!! so beautiful

  • l.o.v.e.

  • BEST SONG IN THE WORLD

  • I don't know anything about Iceland or his supposed selling out!

I just really like this song. <3

  • of course, if by that "their album" you meant sigur rós' announced release for this year, i'm looking forward to it and i really really really really hope it's not in english... that's the only reason i don't like jónsi's side project, i think he sold his icelandic pride way too cheap

  • Very nice sound!

  • Von or Ágætis byrjun were experimental at best. this is the new sound of sigus that doesnt fit in prefectly with there past

  • not true at all dude...not even close

  • If you call their new C.D not music than something is seriously wrong with your hearing..

  • Dude, i am talking about Sigur Ros, not his solo album...

  • @shizzle31 and why do you post about the not-released and not-heard Sigur Rós' album on the promo single of jónsi's solo album????

  • Comment removed

  • i like how.. hes clearly the frontman but ok.

  • I love this. Just as much as I'm loving all the more ambient stuff. It seems like everything he's doing is just pure gold

  • i love the icelandic/hopelandic stlyes but it is great to hear how great his english has improved. i am excited for tthis realease

  • It sounds very like Sigur Ros..

His english is very improved, but i still prefer icelandic :)

  • Got a funny feeling that the album of the year 2010 is called "GO" - even though the new Adam Green LP is gonna be released in a few days...

  • John Best's description of the album as 'glorious mayhem' is spot on.

  • I'm Spanish, and I speak Spanish and English too. There are other guys who don't speak English. I think we shouldn't argue about languages, we should just enjoy Jónsi's Boy lilikoi. What's the problem? I know you could not understand us, but there are translators and dictionaries, you could use them or just not read us. Nobody forces you to read our comments.

Now, I will listen to this song one more time.

  • I am pretty sure that he sings

"You run, you're free, you climb endless trees" instead of "you climb and dress trees"... Makes more sense, does it not..?

  • omg Jónsi, sing in Icelandic!

  • love this song :-)

  • Marvelous song. Probably the only song I could possibly put on repeat without getting bored. Can't wait for the album

  • I can't stop listening to this.

    It gets better every time.

  • Can't agree more with you.

  • Now i realize why even more people need to shot down someone....

  • ummmm, wow.

    this is lovely

  • You can speak Spanish if you'd like. You can speak Icelandic, too. You could also speak Hopelandic if you'd like. There are easy ways for us to translate your words, and there are ways to communicate and express your spirit and your authenticity that transcends language. Have at it.

  • fuck off

  • Why the hell do those Spanish idiots keep up telling us this is fake?

It isn't. As I said before, I have subscribed to the Sigur Rós newsletter, and they have been talking about this for a while, and sent us fans mail about it. It's not freaking fake.

And to the tards who reply to these points in Spanish; why the heck do you speak Spanish to me? Speak English for crying out loud, I don't get Spanish, and you obviously get English as you can read this.

  • wow!

    Stop argueing, just enjoy Jónsi.
