Ian had a bass baritone voice,and that's why Hooky is gonna have problems with his Joy Division and the Light,He is even trying to sing like Curtis,I've heard from a music mag.Hooky was an average bass player at best and an even worse soloist, only just useful as a backing vocalist, so to try and sing like Ian is an insult,by the way-Durutti Column start every gig with The Missing Boy,as a tribute to Ian Curtis.What could possibly be wrong with that?? I love this song, thanks for posting this. I have just noticed he 3 pictures of Ian during his childhood at 0.36 eerily look very similar to some of my school / teenage pictures. I was born in late 1954 so I was about the same age as him. I was lucky enough to see JD in 1979, they had a profound effect on me and I have been a fan ever since. Best band ever, RIP Ian

ians lyrics where amazing had such depth and poetry in his songs. i personnaly liked his voice, it had a strong deep quality to it which in many odd ways mixed with the frail vunrabilty of his in depth lyrics. his deep raw voice matched the lyrics. amazing truely my most favourite signer of all time. he wasnt even that famous when he was alive but he is now in death. i will never forget joy division
