I heard alot of stories from these times. My father Pedrag Bizich was a young soldier in those times. I'm thinking he was a Chetnick cause I do remember him saying he was a prisoner of war for a few years and he escaped went to Italy met and married my mother from Naples and came to the USA because he wanted freedom. He told me my grandparents were executed along with 2 of his siblings.

Pa da su bili 0 od vojske moze se reci u neku ruku a u neku ne.

JVuO je bio dosta slabo koordinisan pokret Draza Mihailovic nikad nije imao kontrolu nad vojskom na zapadnoj strani Drine, dok je u partizanima svako morao da slusa Broza...

A bilo je uzasnih zlocina ali su partizani 100 put vise pobili od cetnika i vise su saradjivali sa okupatorom nego cetnici ali su oni sve to prikrivali ili prebacivali na cetnike ali istorija ce pokazati!!!

jel istina da je od ustaske ruke palo 20.000 cetnika na lijevca polju....

@sinkosav Oko 17.000 vecinom Djurisevici cetnici pokusali su povlaceci se krajem marta 1945 da dodju do Slovenije. Imajuci samo lako oruzanje nasli su se na Lijevce Polju u okruzenju: 27.940 ustasa na Podkozarju sa avijaciom, tenkovima, topovima i automatsko oruzje, partizani sa Vrbasa i Nijemci sa teskom artiljerijom sa Save. Pod ovim uslovima nisu ni imali sansu: oko 7000 njih je poginulo boreci se a oko 5000 zarobljenih je ubijeno.

Nemoj tako moj deda je bio kulak -veliki zemljoposednik, inace je deda sa Cera. Četnici su ga mobilisali u martu1942., bio je 6 meseci u Četnicima, i pobegao je jer kako kaže "to je bila 0 od vojske, zločinci i kadabahije", S proleća 1943 otiašao je u Partizane, i za njih ima samo reči hvale ( bio je u KNOJ-u do 1948.) iako mu je KPJ uzela 90ha zemlje i šume.

Da su cetnici VEOMA disciplinovana vojska dokazuje npr. vojevanje Dinarske Divizije svih 5 godina. Prepuno podviga! Za razliku od komunistickih i ustaskih grupa koje su nocu upadali u sela Knina, Grahova, Benkovca itd... radi pljacke, silovanja i ubistava vidjenih srba.

Pa i drugih cetnickih vojnih formacija koji su po tumacenju stranih istoricara vodili najvece gerilske operacije u okupiranoj evropi!

So, upon his arrival on Ravna Gora in May of 1941, Mihailovic had decided to create a movement of resistance. Soon after, the Reich's commander in Southeastern Europe, Field Marshal List, requested reinforcements in the number of numerous divisions and special expeditions moved to begin reprisals against Draza's Chetniks.

In 1941 German units began a heavy, concerted assault on Ravna Gora. "Operation Mihailovic" was meant to destroy all guerilla units within a radius of 120 kilometers of the mountain. After the German Ravna Gora offensive, Mihailovic's forces continued with their declared desire for anti-fascist resistance.

Chetniks forced the Germans out of Cacak and its surrounding villages, attacked the German garrison in Gornji Milanovac and forced the surrender of the several units from the 920th battalion. Chetnik forces proceeded to liberate Valjevo and Kraljevo. This was at the time that the Germans were at their peak in Russia and North Africa.

In October,1942, the Prinz Eugen SS Division engaged in its first large-scale military operation, against Serbian forces under Mihailovicís commander Major Dragutin Keserovic in the Kopaonik Mountains in the region of Kriva Reka.

Operation Black began on May 2, l943, concentrating on destroying Mihailovicís Serbian guerilla forces in Herzegovina and Montenegro: The lst German Mountain Division, which had arrived from the Russian front, the German-Croatian 369th "Legion" Infantry Division, the ll8th Jaeger Division, the lst Motorized Regiment of the Brandenburg commando formation, and the 7th SS Mountain Division "Prinz Eugen".

The Italians assembled the "Taurinense" Infantry Division, the 23rd Infantry Division "Ferrara", and the l9th Infantry Division "Venezia".Other Axis forces available for this offensive included the Croat 4th Jaeger Brigade and the Bulgarian 6lst and 63rd Infantry Regiments.
