Hey guys what about the MGT thats a great truck right there. I have done my research and had my fair share with RC and if you want durability and Torc then get a Savage, lst xxl, or a MGT 8.0. The MGT has 5 hp and a 8.0cc size engine!!!
@mstreamer9991 Ok first off, this is not my LST. Second, this is his first or second day driving it so he doesn't really suck. Third, you are a moron or just dim witted. Fourth and final, T-Maxx 3.3 out performs the LST because it is lighter, faster and more durable. Wheelies further, lands better and is faster than the LST. CASE CLOSED.
@KingBonacci We'll see when I get my xxl in a couple days. I hate my maxx, it's a cheap pos. Name calling is a sure sign that you're an e-thug with no real balls. I read the info before I made that first comment, tell Greg he's a shitty driver.
@KingBonacci i wouldn't say a t-maxx would out performs a lst. The lst is one of the best handling monster trucks out there. T-maxx has a really high center of gravity. I find that both trucks have their weak points as in durability. wheelies don't make a truck better performer. also your comparing a 1/10th scale to a 1/8th scale, so yes one is going to be lighter because its smaller. I find both to be great trucks, but a lst would be a better track performer.
@honda2237 Well then I ask what does make a truck perform better? It being better on a track? I think not, search you tube for r/c monster truck and the majority of what will pop up is videos of people bashing, jumping and wheeling their r/c monster trucks. These things are bashers man. Versatility is what defines a good monster truck, best in all areas for what is expected from a r/c monster truck. I ran against the LST on multiple occasions and totally out performed it in all areas.
@KingBonacci actually the lst was built for racing, so ya on the track. I find my lst2 a much better basher because of the added size, bigger tires and bigger shock. but yet your compared a 1/10th scale monster with a huge motor to a heavy 1/8th with an ok sized motor(it could be a little bit bigger) and they made it longer so ya there are going to be different capabilities at wheelies. When i had a lrp .28 spec 3 in my lst, that thing was a power house, wheelies on command and fast as crap.
@Cyonyst And his tune is a little off...and their running space is way to small for those MT's. Find a park with no trees for a better running area...I use a space under a freeway near my house.
i own a t-maxx 3.3 and a losi lst, both where eventualy converted into double the original value with integy parts as well as new engines, my beef with the 2 t-maxx's i've owned is that traxxas makes toys and toys break, the t-maxx will shatter like glass if put threw the same activity that i put the losi threw, after a few hundred bucks worth of replacement parts for the t-maxx i shelved it, and i've owned 2 of them, they don't suck but they don't compare to hpi, losi products
@jaroncyr I have to completely disagree, respectfully ofcourse. HPI's and LST are much bigger and heavier r/c's and therefor will never perform like the T-Maxx can. It will out jump, out land and out wheely and all around out perform the competition. I will agree the stock a-arms are chinsy for the T-Maxx but replaced with RPM ones and the truck is very solid and takes a huge amount of abuse. The 3.3 racing engine performs up to and beyond even larger engines. I ride the T-Maxx very hard.
@KingBonacci rofl dream on, while you spend your life in your workshop using ducktape to stick your "king monster truck" back together i'll be bashing my lst xxl and savage 4.6.
P.S i thought the revo 3.3 was the traxxas monster truck from the new advert for it.
@TheJackeyboy Well spoken from a savage owner i'm sure. People always talk the best about what they own. if you do your research you''ll find that the 3.3 racing engine competes and out performs most larger engines including LST and Savage.
ok you guys i need some help i want to buy my first nitro monstertruck and i have narrowed it down to three choices The Losi lst, the T-Maxx 3.3 or the Savage 4.6 i want it to be able to last a long time even with bashing which one should i get?
The T-Maxx 3.3 is the king of the monster R/C trucks hands down. Losi is nice but to heavy and big, savage is almost as good as the Maxx but all in all the T-Maxx is the most versatile.
savage x 4.6! best basher hands down. i think it has the best set up from an rtr at its price. the t-maxx is pretty cool also but needs alot of upgrades to make it bash worthy (aluminum bulkheads, aluminum chassis braces, rpm arms etc) i have both so no bs here.
I'm not sure of teh actual scale of the LST but it is very large, maybe 6th scale. It really doesn't pop wheelies like the T-Maxx or S-Maxx does and in my opinion doesn't jump as good either. But still a nice r/c. I would imaging stiffening the shock will help it not bottom out.
a brushless conversion xxl with mgt 4.6 wheels would be a good looking killer fast unit, I have to agree there is nothing tougher out of the box than a savage though
lst has too small engine and only 2 gears AND is has no roll bar =( compared to the XL: the xl has 3 grears, a great roll bar, and a 5.9cc engine with 40000 rpm =)
yeah the savage is the best but the 5.9 engine in the xl is a turd ....I have both an xl and a 4.6 and the 4.6 is the better truck and only becuz of the engine...lst xxl is ok my bud just bought one but its not as good as a savage....it was the perfect bashing monster truck ever created
i think losi would crush the tmaxx i got a losi aftershock i actualy love it but wen i first got it two years ago it was a pain in the ass but now its awesome
ya but i smacked a pole with my losi at top speed only broke a control arm. what would happen with the maxx if u done it? i saw a vid of a traxxis hittin somethin at top speed and it bent the damn chassis thats why i like losi cuz the chassis are tough as fuck
Well I can't say for sure but what I can tell you is Traxxas support is the best out there in my opinion. And their models are very durable for the most part. The XXL is larger than the Revo and heavier. I think for the money your spending you should get the Revo. I think it's a little less doe and just as good if not better than the XXL. Hope this helps.
The Revo jumps insane and land beautifully. Like I said it is very durable and I highly reccomend getting one. I also would suggest replacing the A-arms with RPM brand A-arms. Much more durable than the stock stuff.
You can buy that same remote and put it in any car you like. And let me tell you that remote your talking about has alot of problems, I have witnesed it myself.
Yeah, the wheels on here are smaller than the stocks, even smaller than the talons I have. They are med IMEX baja tires and have a nice tread pattern, good for dirt gripping.
