World War Hulk would (not COULD, WOULD) beat Superman. It would probably not be easy, but he did beat the million exploding suns freak Sentry. The Sentry said he was cutting loose in that fight, but even if it was just a fraction he certainly put out the power of at least a hundred exploding suns and that is leagues above Superman's power level. And I dare say that Worldbreaker Hulk would curbstomp Superman, perhaps even beat Prime cos his sole feat was greater than what even Prime has done.

Both of these characters have shown mind-blowing feats of physical power, superman has moved planets and the hulk has shattered a asteroid twice the size of earth after being fired at it. This is very close but I will go with the hulk because not only is he shown doing many feats of superman level or perhaps beyond, he can rapidly increase in strength with anger.
It is interesting that many people compare the strongest superman against the weakest hulk who can only lift 100 tons. To do this fairly we should compare the strongest hulk against the strongest superman. Now there is only one hulk that can even begin to match the most powerful superman and that would be the world war hulk.
All in all, Hulk would come into the fight as the underdog, while Superman might underestimate Hulk in the beginning of the fight and his morals restrain him from using deadly force against I could see Superman winning mainly cuz he'll come up with a strategy before Hulk becomes too angry and overpower Superman. this fight is obviously a tie. at the start of the fight its even. hulk keeps getting mad the longer the fight goes on. superman keeps getting powerd by the sun. but after superman decides to stop pulling his punches and hits hulk so powerfully that hulk goes flying. hulk gets so pissed he comes back and smashes superman to shit. fight goes on a bit longer. they both get way to tired cause this fight has been going on for days. hulk knocks superman out but then turns back to bruce and blacks out

Where does this idea come from that Hulk has "limitless rage"? Show me just ONE time in the comics where it says this is the case! It's just an idea spawned by Hulk fanboys who like to "think" the guy's strength is without limit... it ISN'T!

However looking at the facts superman has the advantage of strength, speed and more, like freeze breath and laser beams, but superman is a contained, man with strengths beyond the hulk. The hulk is a big brute who would bet madder and madder every time he would try to get superman down. In the end, Hulk is stronger, Superman is faster... but a couple things to consider that wold tip the scales in Superman's favor: Superman can 'breathe in space' where the Hulk cannot, and Superman has heat vision and freezing breath, both of which could inflict massive problems and some damages to the Hulk to allow Superman the time necessary to find a way to maneuver the Hulk into a place where only Kryptonite could help him beat Superman -- such as in outer space, or drowning under-water...

World War Hulk would (not COULD, WOULD) beat Superman. It would probably not be easy, but he did beat the million exploding suns freak Sentry. The Sentry said he was cutting loose in that fight, but even if it was just a fraction he certainly put out the power of at least a hundred exploding suns and that is leagues above Superman's power level. Finally on to weaknesses. Superman is vulnerable to kryptonite and mental control both of which hulk could not use against him. World war hulk on the other hand does not really have a weakness. Before world war hulk the silver surfer could defeat the hulk by sucking the gamma rays out of him but the WW hulk does not seem to have this weakness as he beat the surfer easily.

Silver Surfer actually would probably destroy Superman. A Kryptonian charged up with yellow sun is no match for the Cosmic Power. Since I'm a superman fan that's a bitter thing to admit.
