Thank you so much for posting this. I picked up the CD "West" the album where this truly moving song was first released, after reading the writing credits on the Emmylou Harris CD "Wrecking Ball", where she covered Lucinda's "Sweet Old World". What an amazing artist she is.

I just saw Lucinda live last night here in Burlington, Vermont....she absolutely BLEW the roof off!!

Her voice is absolutely AMAAAAAZING!! She makes the most of her faults and flaws, kind of like Dylan. Her band was FANTASTIC!

The ONLY disappointment I had was that my wife, daughter and I started our love affair with Lucinda after I heard this song on the Imus show ...and she didn't do it last night!!

Not unhappy....just have to wait until next time!!

I saw Lucinda Williams in concert last Saturday night in Houston. The venue was a small bar with standing room only. Her voice was amazing! I was prepared to be disappointed in her "live" voice ... it was just great!!! She actually sounded better to me than she does on studio recorcings. It was just a wonderful show!

I was watching the TV show House last night and this song was playing in the background as House was sitting in his apartment. I knew the song, but couldn't place it or knew who sung it. I had to look this up this morning. I'm so glad I did - I love this song!
