  • whats up with the shit loud music?

  • Shouldn't she be making him a turkey club sandwich?

  • what happens if i buy a laptop with an ssd?

  • What about "loosing"? That's just heinous for a person reared in an English speaking country, which that faggot was.

  • @SenorCajones whats your angst against my comment ? its perfectly logical. If you want to point out something related directly to the video please do. Keep that self righteous shit to yourself.

  • Then why is ocz failing all over the internet???

  • My advice have two drives. Install programs on the SSD so that they run superfast. save your files on HDD you have then the perfect machine that u can pass down and have a much higher resale value.

  • @xsjerry You are an idiot.

  • 1:01

  • i sont even use my ssd for proper storage (not even user data) so i only for the OS and my most used programs. All my user data (documents desktop and so on) are on a HDD. I guess that should increase my SSD's life by quite a bit..

  • @JuicYouS Like we give a flying fuck.

  • @SenorCajones lol. who is "we"? Now go give yourself a BJ.

  • @JuicYouS Seems like you know how

  • @BiggestShitTalker760 Seems like you're doing it now.

  • @JuicYouS fuck you.

  • know-it-all bitch

  • Veronica Balmount isw tasty as always

  • so basically u pay shitloads of money for an SSD then after about 5 years it just dies, SSD are pointless atm cos there stupidly expensive $ per GB theres no point in buying an SSD for like 5-10 years when they become cheaper andm ore mainstream

  • @BolvarFTW they're stupidly expensive because they give you enhanced performance. Even though they say SSDs cost more per GB, what you are really paying for is GB/s. In other words TIME. Like most people, I think my time is worth something and if you add up the time saving over that 5 yrs....you bet your ass its worth it. PERFORMANCE is what its all about and that alone makes them more than worth the high price tag. Besides, just because they say 5 yrs doesn't mean its 5 yrs. You may get 8 or 10

  • i clicked on this video bec the chick looked nerdy hot. I bet she does all sorts of dirty shit in the bedroom. I picture my cock going into that big mouth

  • @order619 LMAO (i know someone who was thinking the same)!

  • time to buy 4 ssd drive ... raid 10 muwhahahaaa.

  • Solid state ssd drive. =P

  • I clicked this because she is hawt!

  • @shawnspeed3 Well then you must be pretty dam ugly, cause she doesn't even have a nice body and is far below AA's.

  • @ShrapmaElite and u must be a shallow prick who thinks hes gods gift to the sexy curvy big boob type girl

  • thus STOP worrying yourselves to death about " oh..but I wrote 7 gigs of data of a dvd movie from my ssd to another storage drive today..i better wait at least 4 days before doing that again otherwise my ssd won't last but 2 years.

NO. example. my mushkin callisto deluxe 120gig ssd can handle writting 40 gigs per day 365 days per year and last easily 7 or more years ( AS LONG) as I let Win 7 issue the TRIM command for garbage collection. once weekly for a measley couple of hours per Mushkin.

  • Ok..people. it's simple. a " Write Cycle" = pretty much 95% to 100% of the total storage capacity of the drive's worth of data has been written by the drive. that =ONE write cycle, thus use common sense when selecting your SIZE and BRAND of ssd. ocz=GARBAGE on the qc line. Proof? read ANY online vendor that sells OCZ agility, agility 2, agility 3, and half of the rest of their line up even today's sata III.

Also-many drives are overprovisioned, meaning extra hidden storage to help with G.C.

  • 10000 my assl, OCZ,INTEL all claim 3000-5000 write cycles.

  • Just bought me a 120 GB OCZ Vertex 3 with SATA 3 @ 6Gb/s for $210

  • Wear leveling is when you throw a dead Intel SSD into the trashcan.

  • @akirafactor NOOO, it's when you equip armor in a game and the longer you use it the more powerful it becomes...gawd. :P

  • mine lasted 3 months with only half of its 120 gb storage used.

  • that guy looks like an "out of shape" version of Junior dos Santos

  • He looks like an in shape version of my former recruiter

  • @toastm4n That guy just so happens to be Patrick Norton, He use to be the co-host of The Screen Savers along side of Leo Laporte on TechTV

  • ssd drive could be "solid state disk drive" not correct but not exactly inaccurate....

  • @spikespeigel there's no disk in a SSD drive you fuck

  • @toastm4n I know that, I was saying what the viewer with the question could have meant.

  • @spikespeigel I know that you know

  • @toastm4n you are ridiculous sir.

  • @spikespeigel the only ridiculous thing here is your face. sir

  • a thousand bucks for only 400 gigs of memory??? are you kidding me??? what is going on??? I can get 2 terobites of memory for 150 bucks on hdd... but I must admit, that hdd of mine is the bottle neck and I will unlikely see any better performance outta my computer unless I upgrade hdd

  • @Zee96969696 You cant get memory on a hdd you can get storage space. And no you cannot get a 2tb for 150 atm due to the thailand floods. The cheapest 5400rpm 2tb are a minimum of 200dollars...up to 400dollars for high end 7200 models. Now is the time for SSD shine. You get amazing performance for much closer to HDD price..due to the shortage of HDD which is not affect SSD...which is not expected to change till mid/late 2012.

  • @overclockedamd123 i can't get memory of hdd I can get storage place???? wtf is that sopposed to mean? did you write that whole comment to correct everything I said? jeez

  • So if you run your OS off this and a couple games and don't use it for storage of media and such It would hypothetically last longer? So have a regular HD for your media and less used applications.

  • just wondering if in 30 years will a 20,40,80,120 gb drive hold enough space to support the opperating system and common programs.

  • @unknow123abc what you should really wonder is if we're going to be around as a human race in 30 years from now.

  • Some won't last a year others will last

Crucial is a leader in ssd Intel and corsair are quality conscience companies too the rest well you take your chances check warranties not the prices

  • That's redundant Kevin.

  • WoW. I don't usually watch shows like this since I'm a geek and your shows don't teach me anything. But I will say this is a good informative episode. I knew that SSD life rumors were exaggerated, but it's nice to have cold hard figures.

  • Did that guy used to be on TechTV?

  • Glad to hear this I was a little bit wondering how long to... thanks for the info..

But will they come out with a Kinda 120Gig SSD combined with a 10,000rpm harddrive at a cheaper cost?

  • the black swan raises it's ugly head again for this poor chap - do you not believe and trust?

  • Dram vs. flash

  • SSD=Solid State Disc Or Solid State Drive so depending on you look at it its not redundant at all...at all at all?!?!?!?!

  • @bornwisedistruction Both terms are incorrect. There is no disc and there is nothing to "drive". A more accurate term would be "SSDS" for "Solid State Data Storage".

  • @satanicmechanic86 Too True but as a marketing ploy they went with Disc and or drive as not to further confuse the consumer who has no clue about the tech involved : )

  • @bornwisedistruction I agree, I just didn't want to type anymore.

  • she 's a blower

  • 1:53 HE SAYS SSD DRIVE?!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Let the man talk, bitch.

  • This girl reminds me of a surgeon from an american hospital in her green dress :)

  • lol why are so many people offended by what she said? i didn't see anything wrong with it.

  • At 2:38, she used 'many' in a postive sentence which is grammatically incorrect.

Not that it really bothers me, but she did correct the kid so she should've made sure her goddamned spelling was correct.

  • @rooo1o "At 2:38, she used 'many' in a postive sentence which is grammatically incorrect." - english books say, it's correct and formal. it may not be common and conversational but it's grammatically correct.

  • @ayawlex Hmm...Thanks for this.

  • She's so damn beautiful 24/7!

  • whats up with that stupid loud music at the end, they talk low so i hire volume and then that loud music , i mean really

  • 1:00 "so stupid"

She's so cute for saying that :P

  • I agree with her.

  • SSdisk DRIVE

  • @sanriver12

SS-Drive would work. It may even help alleviate the "RAS Syndrome" Veronica complained about. There's no "disk" (magnetic) or "disc" (optical) to speak of inside them though.

  • OMFG REDUNDANT!!! What a bitch.

  • @TheEpisteme I immediately thought the same thing. what's up her ass?

  • @TheEpisteme

The only "bitchy" part was that she responded to (complained at) the second occurrence as if the asker had already received and ignored the previous correction.

  • @Skepdisc and not a single fuck was given that day.

  • @TheEpisteme Kevin.... is that you?

  • SSD's are a thing of the past

  • Interesting.

  • vb<3 babe i've never had an ssd !

  • @sweetypie000

I really hope you're either quoting someone or kidding.

If not, what the ______ did you post that on?

  • @cubby1996 you either can't read or you have a really sick mind

    :)

  • @sweetypie000

    Neither, my explanation:

I'm going to guess you posted this on a computer or portable device, and that means you used an SSD to post that message, you need an SSD to operate.

  • @cubby1996 na, you were right the first time lmao

    :)

  • And it's "losing" not "loosing" :P

  • Doesnt TRIM also help preserve your drive, keeps it running longer as if it was brand new
