Just when you think this business of life and death is too soul-destroying, someone comes along to make you feel better just by talking about it. Atheists, you've no depth of feeling, that's the only reason you're atheists and society is falling apart. And Dawkins, being a gay ceethreepeo is no substitute.

@Jeffholdsworth Meh. You can't just cite 'intolerance' as a shield against feckless pseudo-intellectuals. RD is 'intolerant' to the type of ethos shown in the above clip, because he's incapable of understanding it.
@xjames118 You insulted an entire group of people because their opinions defer from yours. There's no "feckless pseudo-intellect" behind calling out your intolerance.
There's no hatred towards atheism in the above clip. That's all in your head.
@Jeffholdsworth Nyahah! Arbitrary chattermouthing to bring down fish-in-a-barrel religion is something athiests have conciously chosen to do, Jeff, whereas most religion is naturally-occuring and humble in nature. Films like 'Ordet' explore a post-intellectual discernment which is equal to empirical proof in God. As for Dawkin's gayness (is he gay?), it's open season.
@xjames118 By the way your joke about post-intellectual discernment being equal to empirical proof in god is the funniest thing I've heard in a long time. Good one!

You should see "The Matrix" - it has even more astonishing effects.. But this is also among the greatest cinematics ive ever seen. Funny they never received an oscar...
A brilliant film--and this scene is one that I find most moving and poignent.
By the way, the technique used in this scene is remarkable--how the room moves around them although they, for the most part, retain their relationship to the camera. Incredible.

@xjames118 Intolerant comments like yours are far more responsible for society’s decline than the existence of atheism.

@xjames118 Your misguided interpretation of Ordet is far from “naturally-occurring and humble in nature”

The film didn't win an Oscar, but i'm sure it won at least one 'Bodil' price
(Danish version of the Oscar) cause my grandma has it at home. Her dad is Emil Hass Christensen 'Mikkel' the guy with the white hair.
