@smudgethekat His Black Crusades may not succeed but the Imperium always takes much heavier losses than Chaos. Plus Chaos Marines are immortal and can be revived by either their patron god or sorcerers at any time. Like Eliphas.
@Nebulahawk Imperium does take more losses then chaos. About 1 chaos marine dies for 100 troopers. Point is, the imperium has 10.000 troopers for each chaos marine; so statiscally they are scoring a huge victory.
Also it has never been officially confmired that the gods can revive their servants. Relic just chose to choose the side of those who do believe it.
Even when they can do it, they can only revivie those extremely favored. Like kharn (1 in a million)
@ElmerAwesome Not necessarily, Thousand sons are stated to periodically revive their sorcerers and their rubric marines are revived just by putting their armor back together and setting them near another sorcerer.
Plus I don't see how the Chaos Legions could have survived for thousands of years without reviving or reincarnating at least of portion of their numbers. It may not happen consistently but it must occur often enough.

The traitor legions constanly take new recruits. That's how they survive. Theres an article on the net about chaos recruitment you should read if you want.
@ElmerAwesome You make some good points and I'm not disagreeing with you, the Chaos Legions recruit like mad, on top of still using their gene-seed.
But if reviving their troops is possible through deals or by a powerful individual then why shouldn't they? From a chaos perspective you do whatever it takes to get ahead, if you can bring back dead soldiers with all their experience and brutality with a chaotic deal then you WILL do it, regardless if it is a gamble. It's just the way of Chaos.
@Nebulahawk your both correct, i know the word bearers and alpha legion have the largest recruiting networks of all the traitor legions and are highly organised compred to the world eaters and emporers children whos numbers are much lower in comparasin. The iron warriors have been experimenting on cloneing geneseeds to create more complete recruites aswell as heavy cybornetic enhancements to mortal troops to try and boost them up to similar power levels as an astartes.
@Zamolxx Atleast it can still be warped by gravity wells; mathematically be hyperbolic, plane, or eliptic.and have dimensions of restrictions (el. particle scale) and etc. That's what my Masters say at Physics Faculty.

Space cannot be physical, if it would, than that would not be space, but a medium. Space cannot have structural, kinetic, or angular properties.
