The guy is full of shit, if you bann it people will get it off the black market paying much more like they do with other drugs which are illegal and this would increase crime etc how the hell is getting every gorgous female actor to smoke being creative ? They need to ban tobacco companies paying bollywood to get gorgeous celebrities to smoke in movies to encourage kids and young people to start smoking & therefore there wouldn't be as much smoking in movies.
Also the question was not asked properly as it said will sensoring cigerettes stop smoking ? Now if it said will it reduce young people starting to smoke ie copying celebrities then the stats from the public would have read very differently..
Of course banning it in public places helps but it helps more if its not advertised in movies etc if you look at every other country which has done this.
Smoking in movies is clearly advertising it. Why do they never show beautiful, healthy movie stars dying from their smoking habit? If not, these movies promote smoking as a way to be beautiful and cool just like the stars, not as something that will destroy your looks and kill you, which is what it really does. How come the movies don't ever show that reality?
It's simple. Film companies are paid millions by cigarette companies for 'product placement' and are selling cigarettes to kids.
