If you want proof of how dumb they are, just following procedures they cannot understand, watch the cop going from door to door on the SUV with the gun drawn and the car alarm being activated every time he tries to open the doors. This both interferes with the work of the other cops as well as making Guerena believe it is a house raid by gang members, Remember he is a Mexican immigrant.

After this no one can call SWAT team members heroes. They are raiding in such an inhumane fashion that they'll kill more people than necessary. A hero would try to lessen the chance of killing, rather wounding, and be sure that there are no innocent civilians in the house. These SWAT officers never concidered this. A swat team was issuing a search warrant, they set off his car alarm outside, his wife looked and saw men with guns, she woke her husband and he hid them and grabbed his rifle in preparation to defend his home. Seconds before breaching the door they finally announce themselves over the car alarm and then when they do breach the door they see a man holding a gun in his own home and murder him in cold blood.

And you say they aren't a swat team because of their aim? I happen to believe they are not a swat team because a swat team is made up of LEO's who are supposedto protect the public and the rights of the citizen. These "men" are murders and that is all that they are.

Watch other videos on this shooting. It will help show how skewed the news will be. This man was a former marine who was alerted to people outside his house. He was not told they were police so he had grabbed his rifle to defend himself. This is just plain murder, but the news will never report against the real criminals, because those are the police.

the swat was also lobbing flash bang grenades in the backyard right before the raid, they were not on the video, that is what scared his wife and when she looked up and saw a man in black out the window, ran and woke him up, flash bangs deafen, stun, and blind, then the cops announce who they are? If you intend to defen and blind someone, how can they possibly know you were the police???also in this neighborhood cartels dressed in swat gear assinated people earlier that year!!

If he was "ready to fight" then he would have been wearing the armor they found in his closet and he would have bailed out the backdoor so he could either flank them or get away. He thought he was going to scare off some burglars without having to fire a shot instead he met a team of assassins who would later make up stories to try and protect themselves from criminal and civil liability after murdering a sleepy man in his own hallway.

@10horseman The "man" announcing that they are police is drowned out by the Guerenas' family car after one of the jackholes started messing with it. In the "official" police video of this that came out some time after the original was aired, they increased the volume of the officer or decreased the volume of the car alarm by attenuation. Even though they did yell police, there is no way someone inside would hear it, and even if they did, would you trust me if I yelled police outside?

This raid was conducted by the Tuscon/Pima County SWAT Team, which is part of the Tuscon Police Department. No charges have been filed. No drugs have been found. SWAT killed a MARINE during an unreasonable search.

Apparently, the Tuscon SWAT Team--despite extensive training and considerable resources--shoots first and does its fact-finding later.

It’s not like they pursued a dangerous criminal into the house knowing he was armed, they arrived unannounced and knock his door down. I do not necessarily sympathize with the shooting victim here either; he could have made a better choice than to pull out his AR-15 before knowing what the threat was. I’m sorry for his death, but if he did indeed have his weapon out, I don’t blame the officers for firing on him.

There is absolutely no reason for the use of such overwhelming force. Proper police work could have prevented this man from being gunned down in his home as his wife and kid were there. Just like Waco and Ruby Ridge this incident could have been handled much more professionally and with much less violence. The suggestion by creatifvision that he be arrested while leaving his place of employment makes sense. There are maybe a hundred other ways his arrest could have been affected.

Understand an AR-15 IS an extremely deadly weapon that can easily be converted into an M-16 with the right knowledge or training seeing as this gentleman was USMC he'd easily could've done that.It takes 7 millaseconds to switch off the safety of a AR-15 and gun down 5 SWAT officers easily.If he fired or not is irrevelevant he had an assault rifle standing in a doorway the threat is in itself.As a Law enforcement officer whose been under fire before I get why SWAT opened fired.It doesn't matter

Isn't there a way to serve the warrant that would be safer for both suspect and police? Isn't there a way, or several ways to police without escalation to violence that respects both justice and the physical and mental well being of the police? Perhaps arresting him as he left work? Hindsight is 20/20, but can we do better?
