hey i used tip31 and feed it directly to leds in one strip its left of Jack and in other strip its Right of Jack but they both blink in same frequency how to split frequency and make them blink differently
can a frequency splitting explained in simple fashion in terms of exact connection and all am jst so pissed not able to figure it out since nt much into electronics :( enlighten me plz
@samalert How this video is setup is.... input -> opamp -> filter -> power transistor -> LEDs
The input goes into the opamp to increase the signal, then goes to the filter to separate frequencies (ie < 100hz for bass response), then the signal from the filter goes to the power transistor and switches it on and off very rapidly. The LEDs are hooked up to the power transistor and in turn will flicker to the beat of the music, depending on how you setup the filter that is.
@cunje01 just great and got the flow. I have seen op-amps but dont know how to make one do you have a source where you have designed one so that i too can do it.............and lastly about the filters i have seen them but all are so complex and all those symbols are like cryptic for me.........any help regarding those wud be appreciated any source file where i can design one.......its very great :P
@znelson710 for the low frequency, the opamp just directly feeds the filter, and then the transistor. it's just some 23amp mosfet switch, not sure of the exact model. i'm sure just about any would do. for high frequency it's a TIP120 darlington pair transistor

Did you design the circuitry yourself? What transistor are you using with that set up?
