Great catch I was posting on your other video than realized you run an ice fishing business. A guy few miles from here has a peacock bass fishing business . He advertises in Japanese magazine . He is busy as can be . He lost his job after he came back from Afghanistan as he was replaced though illegal it happens either way yrs later he is getting rich with the Asian crowd . Hope you strike it rich to doing something you love
Funny you should ask. Things have been really busy for us this year. ( Take a look at our website) If you hurry I think we could squeeze in a trip for you at the end of the season. Let me know. You won't be disappointed!
Filletr Knife?? For the bait right? You released that Big Boy I hope. Keep the average size ones if you can. the big ones are the Hens with the eggs ;) Nice Pike though!
The Fillet Knife was for all of the Crappie and Blue Gill we caught. We usually either release the big ones or put them on our wall. This one is not on our wall.
oh the hole looks like it is not circular like an auger would make. must have been a big one to snap a leader that strong. bummer but nice fish anyway
I know what you are saying, the ice and water do look red. I think it is because the lake we fish has alot of natural springs and small rivers that run off the red/brown muddy hills into the lake. The water is acually more of a brownish color from the run-off.
We did have an auger, it just wasn't in the photo. We had to pack light that day because we were fishing on a lake with a spring 10 feet away so we were standing in about 10 inches of water/slush under the snow. We usually release the Pike we catch, but this fish got hooked really bad, and wouldn't have survived if we released it so we kept it. The funny part about this Pike is that we missed on that was bigger 10 minutes before. (It snapped our 35lb leader)
