My sprint htc touch pro is not responding to the password i have set for it and so the hone is locked,how do i unlock it please. Calls come through but i am not able to make calls and access the phone menus
If Your Sprint Htc Touch Pro 2 is Unlocked And its Running 6.1 Windows And You Choose To Update it To Windows 6.5 Does it Mess up The Phone From Being Unlocked.?
The reason is, i found out, because U.S. Cellular locks all the radio bands to the other carriers so the only signal you can get on this phone in the USA is the ones that U.S. cellular has. All the other ones are being "blocked" by the u.s. cellular firmware. To get rid of the blocks the only way that anyone has figured out is to rewrite the ROM (phone flashing).
This doesn't work don't buy it. The U.S. Cellular version of the touch pro which is the one in the video is unique in the sense that a normal sim unlock will not work. The ROM has to be flashed. The sim unlock will only work for Sprint, T mobile, or att versions of the touch pro 2
@derekstaroba it says it's unlocked but it still won't work. I bought a touch pro 2 for u.s. cellular that's already unlocked and I've been doing research all morning to find out why it won't work with a t-mobile sim or a tracfone or any other sim I've been able to try even though it says just like the phone in the video exactly the same way that it is sim unlocked. IT WON"T WORK DONT BUY
@g36killer You are wrong this phone is a Telus HTC Touch pro 2 capable of working on the GSM/HSDPA network. This phone uses a sim card I should know I repaired and unlocked the phone.
Will 3G work when sim unlocking this phone from Verizon to ATT?

Unlocking a CDMA Device has no point. Sprint wont accept verizon phones and same for verizon.

What was the code you entered? have a Verizon TP2
Also what will unlocking it allow you to do exactly.

@Macktube The code I entered was a HTC unlock code, so it could be used with any network provider.
