I had just about every piece of DW merch when I was a kid including the gas gun. I think you had to fill it with vinegar then when you pulled the trigger it made a weird noise and some steam would come out of the barrel. I had to get another one because the vinegar would leak out of all the crevices and it reeked ofcourse. That was the dumbest idea for a toy ever... I had this game as well when it was new and I was like 8. I was so infatuated with DW that I couldn't tell how much it sucked.

I kinda like your reviews, cause ya complain about the flaws but yet ya still show the game lookin fun. Unlike all these avgn clones who jus show all the flaws and swear their nut off. Your reviews are more down to earth

Couldn't disagree more. It's no Mega Man, but it was a fun game. I got this for my birthday when it came out, and like you I was a Darkwing Duck fan too. The game has its flaws but it has great graphics, nice level design, good challenge, and decent music.

I've never played this, but it looks like you need to time your shots a little differently. Especially in the first couple gameplay clips, you kept on unloading all of your shots on an enemy right when the enemy was blocking, instead of when the enemy was leaving itself open for retaliation. I can see how that would get annoying if every enemy is like that, but this doesn't look like that bad a game.

No way man this game is so awesome it was the first game I've beaten fully and I loved it. I can't belive you think it's boring all you need is timeing that's it I say you give it another go :) you might learn to like it with time. Still I like your vids keep it coming.

Wow, you're sooo off the mark on this one mate. This game is actually really good. It's hard as nails, i'll give you that. But it has an interesting spin on platforming, as it requires quite a bit of timing and strategy to beat the enemies.

I guess it depends on you;re expectations, but I would definitely recommend Darkwing Duck. And it does get gradually more rewarding as you advance. Try it on the Game Boy, seems more suited to that.

It wasn't that bad of a game. Just because an enemy takes more than one shot to kill doesn't make it a bad game. Challenging games were always my favorite NES titles.

There was a gameboy one too which may differ slightly but not very much. There is also a Turbographics 16/PC Engine version thats a pile of piss.

In some ways this has the same problems that Shinobi on the Game Gear has. An odd comparison...but both of them play a lot like Mega Man and both of them have very annoying;y difficult minor enemies.

Watching all these reviews makes me think about how awesome it would be if Capcom revisited these games, or even just the franchises. While showing up on VC would be nice, I'd love to see them remade for DSiWare or something.  Or a Disney Afternoon DS cart with all of them on it. That would be so epic. Of course, I'm sure the reality of that is slim to none, but I can dream right? For now I'll just keep watching my VHS reruns of the shows :D

This is my absolute favorite Capcom-Disney game. Love it, love it, LOVE IT. The enemies didn't seem any different than the Sniper Joes and those annoying floating shield guys in Mega Man, so I don't see what the issue there is. I loved Ducktales, Chip 'n Dale and such, but this is the Disney game that I keep coming back to over and over.
