@thedreamliner2012 extreme turbulence ad sudden loss of lift hopefully nothing that should happen but htey test to extremes to ensure it cant so that wing break wont happen in flight as you would have stalled and crashed by then
@thedreamliner2012 Nothing. The limit load is already a conservative estimate of the maximum load in flight (which would probably be in level flight at high speed and with an upward gust of wind). This test is at 154% that load.
@farmerstel1 Metalergy 101. Steel becomes less and less maluable as its temputrue drops. It's iron carbon crystalline matrix is to blame. How ever aluminium only shrinks(and thus becomes denser) it retains its ductile nature. Hence why it can used in the cold enviorment of space
@raykrislianggi Haha you're not the only one. The main impetus for my uploading it was the hilarity. You may have noticed I cut a few extra 154s in for more effect.
@farmerstel1 Well golly gosh, I hope the Boeing Aeronautical engineers check YouTube comments, as they could obviously take a few tips from random, unqualified ,anonymous Internet posters when it comes to building aircraft.
@vicweb1978 LOL! Well said...very well said. So many "experts" and "technical advisers". They should design a YouTube plane. Get all these idiots together and see what they can come up with.
Initial design was 150% over rated load, they exceeded it by 4%, which is pretty good in the Aerospace industry. That wing on the 777 is rated beyond a supersonic decent and rapid recovery.
I especially like the part where he says153, exciting cuz you really don't know what's going to happen next you know...like, after he says 154 - HOLY SH*T WTF!!!??
I just crapped my pants.
I take it all back...the best part NOW is when he says 154, definitely.
JM: Well, it just seems like Boeing....and every other company... are dismantling this country and outsourcing everything to communist China. Just sayin. Good luck getting a job in this country. Better get one before they're all outsourced.
