I remember when I was a kid, my town library had had built a pond with koi fishes in it. They were found dead about 3 weeks after it had opened, because some retarded douchebags decided it was funny to pour some bleach and laundry detergent in it.

That's a gorgeous garden and great pond but you should put a big granite stone it or something like that, it really helps to keep parasites off koi. Also, do you have any goldfish in the smaller pond at the top cos that's what i do (and no it doesn't ruin the water)

@idungivafark I'm no expert but I think it depends on the number of fish because the more fish the more chemicals in the water from their excrements and such. Plus the more oxygen is needed to keep them healthy in my back garden our pond has 17 Koi in it and its 7 foot deep. So I would say between 5 and 7 is fine although this isnt 100% right as im no expert.
