  • @CaseyMcLaughalot Well you have to knock off the loose stuff. So far no chipping.

  • @CaseyMcLaughalot Actually this stuff sticks better with some rust.

  • when you brush it with the rust seal when it hardens would it show the brush lines? Nice review though

  • @tub88vang As long as you put thin coats it doesn't seem to show the lines..

  • @eyeohdine I would replace but it will stop and prevent future rust.

  • Any more word on the KBS system? I'm really interested in purchasing but have a couple questions that I'm not finding answers to on their website. Looking to remove some rust spots on my truck. I know there's a 3 part system - should I remove all rust as best as possible and sand before beginning with step 1? I guess I'm wondering how the surface should be prepared BEFORE step 1 (using the Aqua Klean) actually takes place. After step 3 do I still need a primer before painting? Thanks!

  • @vulturized Yeah, works great. Sorry I never really got a chance to post any vids yet. There will be some soon with the new project. The stuff actually adheres to rust better than anything so you really don't need to remove it, just knock off all the loose rust. Everything I've used KBS and POR on has worked great just wire brushing the loose junk off. No primer needed before the KBS is applied, won't stick as well.

  • @Johnnysshop Great, thanks! I'm going to use KBS over a slightly rusty chrome bumper. I'm knocking off all the loose rust with a wire wheel, then sanding/scuffing the chrome with 320 grit sandpaper, then on to the 3 step system. Do you think this is a sound plan? Just keeing the RustSeal as my "topcoat" for now, may prime over this and paint later. Do you think RustSeal will adhere ok with above steps?

  • @vulturized Sounds good to me!

  • @vulturized If you plan on painted over the KBS, use a primer over that. Don't want that black to bleed through.

  • Thanks for your kind words. I just wanted to point out that our System Sampler Kit includes an 8oz can of rust paint compared to a 4oz can with the more expensive POR-15 kit.

    Thanks again.

  • Yes, another big plus! I hope to be applying the product next week or so.

  • I cant say id have much use for these types of products. I upgraded from my craftsman box ;). But your video quality has gotten much better and the mic volume is now at a pretty good level. It used to be really low. Good stuff!

  • Yeah, there must have been something wrong with the Vado. I had to yell into that thing!

  • I used POR-15 on my 99 F350 oil pan replacement. I have a large trailer project coming up this summer. I may look into KBS.

  • I'll post a vid of the application in the next few weeks. I'm sure it's the same as POR-15. But it is much cheaper!

  • SWEET!!!
