I really enjoy the contrast between these two versions. The harmonies on the Free album are astounding and really bring this song to the peak of perfection. I would be thrilled to hear the Libera of 2010-2011 perfom this music.

I will repeat another post about this - these, beautiful renditions. THIS should be the EU anthem. Ode to Joy is a nice enough song but THIS just moves you to tears every time you hear it - particularly when sung this way. Great credit to both the boys (who are brilliant) and to Philip Prizeman who has enchanted us for so many years with his amazing talents in training and enthusing them.

i used to be in this choir for about 5 years during the early 90s, and this was my favourite song of the lot. i sung 4th treble. such a beautiful harmony
