I'm no soccer expert, so I have a couple questions. 1. is the key to scoring the goal that Beckham disguised that he was going to kick the ball long to fool the goaltender, or was the key that he was able to put the ball just under the post? 2. If anybody except Beckham tried this play and the goaltender caught it, would he be criticized for wasting a chance on goal? Just curious.

The key is putting the ball under the post for the most effective strike while catching the keeper offguard.That shot requires a keeper that can slam dunk the basket ring, unfortunately with offguard position,it cant.

Not considered wasting the chance, as long! as know that it will be a fatal attack to score a goal. If the keeper is standby, it is.
