God. So many people must want to kill us. Look at what we do to people. The day those people flew planes into our buildings was probably a day when all the middle east was happy. We are probably looked at by the middle east as the big, rich, evil americans who will come over into your country then kill and torture people. Our government is just out of control.

I agree that the U.S. has some crazy radicals, especially from the world perspective. Living outside of the U.S. for 3 years has completely opened my eyes to how ridiculous and nationalistic American's can be.

That said, America is made up of a diverse group of people, many of whom don't put up with crap like torture. I take some comfort in that a lot of the anti-torture media and voices are coming straight out of America.

But how some can still defend torture amazes me to no limits.
