I've been playing classical adventure games for almost 20 years, and I can certainly say that Blackwell series is one of the most impressive of them.
With such a small team, designers created stunning plot, great, unique mood of New York and interesting, very nice charactes (Rosa, would You marry me ;-D)
Blackwell was really perfect gaming experience. Big acclaim from me, Mr. Gilbert. I'm looking forward for your new projects.
The game will be released on Wednesday. I subscribed to the Wadjet Eye Games Newsletter, and I got an e-mail saying that there'll be another round of testing to make sure the game is bug free. If anyone is interested, there's a contest on the bytejacker website, and the winner gets a free copy of the game. Anyone who can do a good Joey Mallone impersonation should submit a video comment or an audio comment on the Blackwell Convergence Contest!! article. The deadline is Wednesday, July 22.
Can't wait to play. I like how it stays true to the style but as Demiath commented, the backgrounds are detailed and rich. Good luck with its release!
Nice to see that the third installment in the Blackwell series is soon here. What I particularly liked about this trailer was to see many examples of the game's expansive, meticulously detailed and often downright gorgeous backgrounds (damn fine work, Luminous Arts and Karen Petrasko!). It's clear that the series keeps evolving and maturing aesthetically as well as gameplay-wise and in terms of its narrative.
Just bought the first episode of this series, It was really fun, I love 2d adventure games.
Also you're not related to Ron Gilbert are you?

There's quite a decent deal for the trilogy of these games at the wadjeteye site. Anyone willing to support adventuring go check it out!

Great music! Thomas Regin made really good OST for this game. I hope for a new Blackwell game.

That introductory sequence is pretty breathtaKing - it's amazing how much you can say in just a few seconds in 2D.

P.S. A costume may increase the chances of winning. At least that's what it says in small letters at the end of the article.
