ya know, when i play this tune im not able to hit a Gmaj7 & back to C, so what I do is; play a G with my 3rd finger on the high E, then slide it up to the 2nd fret and it sounds damn close. gives the song a nice pinch of sorrow in the intro. Gmaj7 is a hard chord for a beginner like myself but it's sure easier than hitting it on a tuba or kettle drum.

@privettricker Hey pt, I'm pretty sure throughout the song after the first G chord instead of two measures of it it walks down to the F# on the high e making it an open Gmaj7 chord. I watched a video of it live and noticed his fingering changed and it sounds right, lemme know what you think.

yes mate it does listen to the original and listen toi the G chord after the G is another chord i think its called Gsus4 its basicaly a G only other way around its actualy on the intro of the song after that first G 2nd note you hear

What strum pattern are you using for this ?. it sounds similar to the bedrock rhythm of down down up up down up, that's how i play it, but i don't think that is right. The way your doing it is accurate.
