  • pros nice pair.........cons coughs and touches hair .....but that doesnt matter when its coming up the pipe.

  • Thanks so much! This is a great video, so much of wonderful info, and I like your personality. I am thinking of moving to London, but because I am also the healthy kind of girl, interested in yoga, loving the nature and the people who care, I feel a bit doubtful if I should make the move... Hmm, I wonder if there is any other city in the UK where I would fit in better? May I ask where do you currently live? :)

  • yea i would love to visit London, but not live, i live in NYC, and it's pretty bad outhere

  • @orlando198200 HOW IS IT BAD EXPLAIN I WANT TO MOVE THEIR ....

  • I find Londoners to be depressed and sad. I felt bad for them when I lived there. But I miss London. I stayed for a year for graduate school and I'd love to go back to visit. But like you said, I would NEVER raise a family there.

  • @America2France I wouldn't say depressed and sad, I'm guessing your American.. You'd have too be a born Brit too get our way of life, I find Americans are usually taught too be optimistic, upbeat and happy and that works for you guys, But for us Brits we actually LOVE to have something too moan about, that sarcastic oh what's the point is what we are famous for, don't be fooled most of us actually take pleasure in our own made up idea of misery and eh it's worked out pretty well so far ;)

  • where do you get all this travelling money from ??

  • Also... I watched your dance video, got your face and hair done, I gotta tell you, you look great as you are (your normal look) you are definitely HOT.

  • @banditzz1011 Thanks :)

  • "London is great for travelling" your enjoying London so much you are itching to get away? I don't blame you, its one of the dirtiest cities I've ever been to, being a typical Brit (so you know where I am) I hate the French, but Paris is a much cleaner place ?

I guess I'm saying that we (the English Population) are the most dirtiest, litter dropping, Fly tipping scum on the planet. I'd like you to tell me you have been to a dirtier city, please cnvince me I'm wrong on this?

  • @banditzz1011 Wow this is an old vlog to be still discussing, but anyway. :) The reason I say London is great for travelling is because it IS a great base to travel compared to Sydney which is about 8 hrs flight from nearest international (not inc NZ) major city. Ask any aussie. The brits/europeans have a luxury of travel choices!

As for litter - I believe in Naples there was one time nobody collected household rubbish from the streets for a month?

  • London and Europe might be a great place to live, but I still stick to the USA.

  • do you think that its easy for someone to become succesfull in music in london , what does it take?

  • @maddie492 I think there are many opportunities in London to get gigs. It just takes hard work, determination and getting out there and doing it. Good ppl skills is definitely a plus.

  • @kazzart ok,thank you!

  • this helped me out alot, i leave for london in 20 days:) bit nervous

  • @chipityzu So how has it been working out for you so far? :)

  • I want to live in London so bad

  • i live in Bangor ,Maine USA .and i am moving to London to get away from Maine.Maines population is less then 1 million .lol i am moving to a city that has a bigger population then the hole state that i used to live in.i cant wait !!!!!

  • I must disagree, a rat has a much higher IQ than someone who has been binge drinking ;-P

  • ROFL. You have a point. :)

  • nice vblog Kazzart

I lived in oxford for 2 years and london for 6 months, and definitely felt like i did my time there, sort of felt like prison time for a lot of it lol.

For me the absolutely best thing about london was easy access to continental europe.

I'm back in sydney now.. takes a while to get used to. i have to say on the food thing, even the imported food in london for me had no taste, where as when i was in Spain and Italy the fruit for example tasted so much better.

    peace

  • Thank you. :) Wow I'm quite surprised ppl are still commenting on this old vlog, but I'm glad they still enjoy it. Perhaps I should make a new one now that I've passed my 4 year (+ 4 months) anniversary in London!!!

I definitely agree that the food in Italy and Spain tastes infinitely better.

  • I think you give one of the most balanced reviews of our fair Capital.

  • I like you and your personality.

  • i love london myself- im in love with it

  • Thanks for your vlog. I really appreciated your honesty especially about making friends. I thought you were very sweet for being so real.

  • This is a fantastic vlog, very informative, thank you for your honesty. I'm moving there in Feb, can't wait.

  • I just saw ur post and its well written. U look beautiful as well. I suspect u come from aussie,I actually study there (2,5 years in melbourne and 2 years in perth). Now I live LA and its nice to hear oz accent which blend w/ british =P to bad u already got boyfriend,g'day mate..

  • Aren't kaucasian Australian well known for abusing alcohol? One more thrown on the barbi and a CastleMaine4X and all of that.

  • Remember when you cried by yourself during your first year in London. I wish I could've been there to comfort you!

  • swaymedia. What a dumb idiot.

  • er i live there for 16 years you IDIOT, and my summary is its SHIT. its too superficial.. DULL.. DARK.. compared to other world cities.

  • swaymedia..dont like it? get the fuck out then. You dumb idiot.

  • oh ya like im just packing my bags now, ... dickheaded ass sucker

  • wow, i don't mean to sound like a sexist pig or anyting, but an asian chick with an english accent!!!

    :) lol, but really.

  • I think it's hot!!!I am going to London one day it's my dream.

  • I've visited London before and I agree it is expensive (from a tourist point of view). You must be doing well in your job as your standard of living seems pretty decent along with you get to do extra's (ie: travel, dance class, etc). Good for you :)

  • Interesting to hear your view of london!

  • Thanks! :)

  • damn your hott

  • I'm a londoner and its rubbish!! Its boring, they charge you a million pounds to use public transport, its always raining/overcast, the local women are minging etc

  • Hehe that's quite a Londoner-speak comment. But I do pretty much agree with you. Do you go over to the continent much? Personally I much prefer life over there (and the women seem to be much hotter too.. esp in Italy).

  • i have been to london and i love it and planning on coming for a couple yrs but i guess im a litle scared i wont find a job etc. but u make it sound great..so ill just pack and come on over lol

  • Lol. Depending on what industry you work in, there are quite a lot of jobs in london. So finding work isn't actually that hard, esp if you're willing to work hard. It's the stress, high expenses/rent and living/working conditions that make life a lil bit less enjoyable here. Hehe.

  • regards to the cons..if you think london is bad, try new york - its london cons x10! (has its own benefits too, eg skyscraper views etc)

  • Actually I think London is supposed to be worse than New York now. Working hours in London have been named the longest in the western world overtaking other european countries and even the states. It's also more expensive to live in London than New York. I'd hazard a guess that London is probably more crowded than New York too.

  • Hope you report on more cities you visit. Try China perhaps. Beijing, Shanghi??

  • nice vid

  • lol...so many cons about London

  • Oh, and you did omit one positive about London:

It's where you currently reside. :)

(okay, that was just a WEE bit corny there ...) :-p

  • LOL!! Thats ok.. I'll forgive you... this time.. ;)

  • Another excellent vlog; the comparisons between London and Sydney were very interesting. I've not been to either city (though that may change next year, as I'm hoping to meet-up with some friends in London if all goes well) so this was quite informative. Some of the pros and cons I wasn't surprised by, such as the status as one of the world's most expensive cities to live in, while others, like the food quality, were eye-openers.

  • Cool glad you enjoyed it and learnt something new. :) I always find it fascinating to hear about other places around the world from people actually living there, rather than the media or tourist guides. Its a very different perspective.

  • But don't give me Sri Lankan rancid peanuts or cardboard Kiwi fruit from the Netherlands (for eg) because it was cheaper than getting it locally or buying the BEST stuff from another country. Quality for me is important. My non-foodie friends say they can't tell the difference.. but we know don't we?! BTW, the sunlight on your face was lovely!

  • Oooh yes yes I guess what I meant by imported food was BEST QUALITY imported food.. like rather than trying to have off season strawberries or clementines from your own country, import them from a country where the climate and season yield the best and fully ripe crop. Marks and Spencers is my favourite grocery store here. :)

Btw thanks re the sunlight. :)

  • Part 2... I'm guessing your USA strawberries are the best and that's why M&S has them, but when our lemons are from the USA, they go mouldy in 2 days or have hidden surprises in them. I love it when quality items are imported and don't mind if the cost is passed on to me... continued..

  • Part 1. Oh goodie there's a Part 3 (with this series I mean)! I kind of suspected but wasn't fully aware about the binge drinking culture. I feel like I undertand where you're coming from -thank you so much for sharing. However, I struggle to find Aussie fruit and veg at the supermarket. Safeway (Woolworths) for eg. buy imported produce when it suits them, when it's cheap do it. Doesn't mean it's good. Continued...

  • Yeh I totally don't get the binge drinking thing. But I'm not and never have been a drinker, so yeh.. just not my thing. I can think of a million other things I'd rather do than drink alcohol. (Make that a trillion for smoking cigarettes.)

  • I'm equiped with my cup of tea....now I'm ready to comment. I love to go to Picadilly circus where you can watch a great diversity of people and if you're lucky see a few celebs doing some covert shopping. The Roman architecture is a wonder. Window shopping in Knightsbridge is cool.

  • I'm afraid window shop is the most I'd be able to do in Knightsbridge.. hehehe.. Actually I shop most around oxford circus.. I have to admit I love the flagship Top Shop store and also all the Mangos and Zaras littered down oxford, bond and regent streets!

  • nice and informative vids.

great look without the glasses, ;-)

  • Lame lighting? Quite the contrary! That sunlight from your window reminded me of some shiny english days. I almost felt the warmth. No, really. It's like if sunbeams were radiating from my computer screen.

Well, maybe it's because it's raining here and I miss the sun. =) Thanks, anyway.

  • Thank you. It was a very pleasant sunny day that day. And england can be very pleasant when they have those lovely blue skies with white fluffy clouds and sunshine thing going...

  • what, what, what?!? the comment box is back, fo sho?!? i can comment again?!?! test test test, cant believe this, woww.great video, gotta write u a mail today! :-P .later, test test, hahah.

  • You should really check out some of the smaller cities in the UK, like Manchester, Leeds, Hull, Lancaster. there are loads of places... The reason why London is so stressful is because its the Business capital of the world... and I think the binge drinking thing is to do with how much we work, I think it drinking is a way to de-stress for other people...

  • I've been to some smaller cities and towns. I've been to Manchester for work once (though I thought it looked a bit ugly with all the concrete and buildings). It was cold too. Also I work outside London in Kent. I've been to Brighton, Hastings, Southampton... still haven't gone to Oxford or Cambridge yet tho. But I think I prefer the continental european cities if I were to move elsewhere.

  • I'm sticking with London for the money and convenience I guess.. thats where the jobs are in my industry and where my dancing and piano classes are.

  • Like you said down in London its a lot more expensive... I went to London once to do all site seeing stuff, and me and my family found it so expensive for us, I live in the the largest Town in the UK, Huddersfield and its great, we don't have all that concrete that you mentioned about Manchester (have to agree with you on that, Manchester isn't the greatest looking city) same for Leeds in fact...

  • You've got to remember the major cities in this country aside from London were built on the industrial revolution and so are former industry based places. England is surely more known for its quaint little towns and villages ( I love Cheddar for example) than its cities in any case?

  • Huddersfield LOL

  • what does Kwai do for work?

  • When he was working in Frankfurt for 6 months? He working for a big investment bank - front office specialist contract.

  • Wanderlust. It's really addicting. I love traveling to different places whenever I can afford it. :)

  • It is addicting isn't it!! Ah its good to see it doesn't wear off as you get older. :)

  • It certainly doesn't. The world is such a big place... a little too big to run out of things to be curious about and visit.

  • and i agree with th binge drinking:]

  • Yeh!! Someone else who agrees yay! :)

  • You might have said it in this v-log but why did you move to London?

  • I didn't actually answer it in my vid.. but I think I answered it in a comment somewhere before. I moved because I thought it would be a great thing to experience whilst I was still young and free and not tied down. I chose London because I'm a british citizen, and it would be easy to get a job and travel europe.

  • Ahhh...i won't to visit London but i couldn't live there im to close to my family:] lol

  • Ok, that's one of those songs that gets stuck in your head - LOL!!

  • Hey wow you made first comment. Lol. Congrats. :P Which song do u mean btw, the first one?

  • Yeah, the first comment. I've never listened to CBR but I may reconsider now...

And thanks!! (re first comment) I try... (LOL!!)
