Fantastic video of pocket carry. I carry my J frame in the summer months with shorts and a tee, works great. My problems have been, accidently putting loose change or my keys into that same pocket. That has chipped off the paint on the butt.. My other problem is that I my hammer always snags, I tried putting my thumb on it, but then its more difficult to draw it. I like the single action for shooting at the range, but that hammer likes to snag. Ive thought about doing a partial bob on it.

I have two Uncle Mike's No. 4 holsters, one for my Glock 26 and the other for my Kel-Tec P-11. They both work beautifully via a friction band which retains the holster in my front pocket and the gun slips right out. Also, this holster is cheap...around $12 and has no clips, straps, or other interference. I prefer small semi-autos over revolvers for pocket carry since they are a lot thinner and carry more rounds. one of the biggest things he didnt mention about pocket carry is never put your finger on the trigger of the gun until you get the gun completly out of your pocket. That is a good way to blow your pecker off. Ask plaxico burress!

There is no need to mention that as the only acceptable method is not to put your finger on the trigger until the gun is on target and you have made the decision to fire. At ALL other times your finger should be high on the slide/cylinder.

The MOST important thing a good pocket holster does, which was not mentioned in this clip, is to cover the trigger guard, mitigating the risk of some small item getting into the trigger guard and potentially discharging the gun. Otherwise, great vid.

It is essential that nothing goes into the pocket except the gun and holster. Keys, coins, knives, etc. must go in alternative locations

I think you forgot two points: 1) Make sure the holster you're using actually covers the trigger guard. I know this should be a given but it also is important enough to mention again. I have seen a few pocket holsters made for specific guns that do not cover the trigger guard. 2) There is a third type of pocket holster: one made with a rubber coating on the outside that sticks to the inside of the pocket thus allowing an easy draw.

Point taken, but I have not seen any holster that do not cover the trigger. I have not had much luck with holsters that are "sticky" and designed to stay in the pocket as they dont stay in the pocket consistently. They have only worked for me when using pants with tight pockets, and those pockets are too tight to draw properly

I like the idea of shooting through the jacket pocket. I plan to use this as my primary defense with a back-up in the belt.
