Granted I would have mixed the strings a bit further into the background but this is still one very classy country song. Nothing on the radio today even comes close.

David Frizzell's okay. Never cared for Shelly's singing much. Liked her mom a LOT better. And, of course, David could NEVER fit HIS brother's shoes! Who COULD??? This song seems WAY over-produced. Too many saxophones and other intrusions, and the strings are WAY too prominent. David and Shelly seem overwhelmed by the track. It seems as if they're rushing to keep up with the tempo. "I'm gonna hire a wino to over-produce my song." Heh!
