@coinun I think they might have whitened a bit during the fast (I wasn't introducing any substances which deteriorate/stain teeth). However, I did see a huge change in my gums as well, so the mouth probably gets a chance to heal just like the rest of the body.
Thanks for the excellent info. One thing: the salt water flush only works when you get the exact right salt concentration for your body at the time. Realistically you would normally try a flush every morning of your fast, and after a few days, you would find the proper salinity, and it would start working (not through your kidneys). Even then, it's not like a miraculous blast that instantly clears out your entire digestive tract. It's just like running some water through, not more, not less.
