I'm not sure about this woman, but usually lots of drugs help with the pain. Also, once the head is out, the rest of the baby is a breeze. I have also heard that nationality can be a factor. From what I've heard, Italian women have MUCH easier, quicker, less-painful births than other women.

I'm not sure about this woman, but usually lots of drugs help with the pain. Also, once the head is out, the rest of the baby is a breeze. I have also heard that nationality can be a factor. From what I've heard, Italian women have MUCH easier, quicker, less-painful births than other women.

1) This woman has NOT taken drugs, she just seems to be well prepared for what birth entails and letting it happen. Most of the times what causes pain is the tension-fear-pain cycle.
2) That's rubbish about italian women, I bet it wasn't from any scientific source... Birth is the same for every woman in the world.

2.A Bio professor told me of naturally giving birth twice w/o drugs. She had quick, almost painless deliveries, & gave credit to her nationality. No, I have not looked up scientific evidence re: this claim, but neither have you, so don't label it 'rubbish.' Some women have more pain than others, & I thought it was an interesting hypothesis that pain & length of delivery could possibly be related to the woman's race/nationality.

I think it's a French video of painless childbirth from maybe the 70's or 80's. That's when the Lamaze method really became popular to help women get through childbirth with breathing techniques.
