can anyone tell me why I cant open with LR a RAW file taken with my nikon D3100 ? is there a pluggin or addon to open RAW files ? Ty verry much please reply
I have a question? I was wondering if I am looking to add water marks smooth skin, make teeth and eyes brighter what else can I use. I am looking for one software that can do it all. Is there any suggestions?
I am interested in the camera - Canon EOS 50D and I know that it comes with the DPP editing programme, but I really would like to use lightroom instead? Is their anyway I could use it. The best would be lightroom 3 but if not any other lightrooms? thanks
you don't know adjustment brush at all, every preset can be adjust by slider. You don't write about version used for thi tutorial.... it's usless for now...
Hee, nice video! I thought maybe for the viewers that don't have Lightroom 3 already I have made a video about noise reduction, I have also included the full adobe photoshop lightroom 3 download 4 Free.
I am new to lightroom and wanted to find out about files. As I am working on files what and making changes, what happens to my original file? Do I need to save as another file name? I don't have the book for this software, I am doing a 30 day trial, and so far I am loving it. It is alot easier than Adobe Photoshop.
omg! i just got Lightroom today and this is the first tutorial I watched and I tried it. It came out amazing. I was removing acne from this girls face from a photoshoot I did. And her skin looks perfect now. Thank you so much for this tutorial!
As soon as I saw this video I opened up LIghtroom to check it out. I have Lightroom 2.6 and when I opened up the drop down menu there was no option for Soften Skin. I noticed that someone else had this problem. Any suggestions?
Hi Yanik Thanks for that tutorial. I love Lightroom! That task looked quick and relatively easy with great results. Thanks again for taking the time to share that. Much appreciated!
Just for your information: in the video you said it didn't work to select several effects at a time to combine them. I know how to do it: in the upper right corner of the effects box there is a small grey square you can shift to the right. If you do so, you can adjust all effects you wanna use. If you then shift the square back to the left, you will notice that all effects you adjusted show up with a minus or a plus. Thought that also might be helpful to know.
just a question. i am a newbee and wanted to concentrate on portraiture and still life. as of this time, i am still quite intimidated with photoshopping, or in this case "lightrooming" skins of people to make them look better. its the tediousness that i am intimidated about. i still have a lot to learn, and 1 of the things i would like to know is if i have excellent lighting and the model was properly applied applied with make up, will it help to ease up the editing proces at least a little?
thanks for that, ive just started working my way through adobe after wrestling (successfully thank god) with photoshop and am trying to master them all eventually, and this wee tip has come in VERY handy, thanks for sharing
Hey I have a problem. After one of my friends was messing around with lightroom, I cant get to the adjusment brush things I've already made. How do I find a way to get back to them? does anyone know?
You can do more than one thing with the brush/retouching tools and the sliders for clarity, etc.
Just click the little "Show Effects" Button in this panel - it is gray and black - and is located in the top right corner above the sliders but below the brush.
This displays all the sliders, not the silly + - from the standard settings. Now you can customize all the sliders in exact amounts for the effect wanted.

Why didn't try Musemage? I tried Photoshop, GIMP, Photoscope and Musemage.
Photoshop is slow but gives a good result.
GIMP and Photoscope are slow and show no good.
Only Musemage gives a good result and is very fast.
