  • WD40 is NOT meant to be a lube! It gets sticky fairly quickly. Don't use it on locks either, you are just making a problem.

  • @crickle47 at least he was honest saying redneck improvising :L

  • Mine just stuck on me the other day, Surprised the damn motor held together.

  • You're cool, Bro. I love that KLX, too.

'Bout to run out and do something similar to my ZX10R.

  • wow thanks man sometimes my bike kept the revs up for a long time or it i twist the bars so i took that lil box of and the wire was of the wheel -,-

  • I only clicked it because it said "redneck improvising" and I just had to see that...

  • lubing your throttle cable is bad, especially after it sticks. It sticks because of dirt (or its frayed) and stuff in it, if you lube if dirt will stick to it easier, the only thing to do is clean clean clean it, it should be fine after that and if its not a frayed cable then you might want to stiffen the carburetor's spring.

  • the most reasons why the throttle is stuck is because its alot of dirt in there, so you can clean it aswell and go for cable lube instead!

  • fuck the throttle cable...this dude has a stingray!!!!! sickkk

  • WD40 is fine for it because its more oil based anyway so it acts as a oiling lubricant.

Grease or more thicker lubricants can attact dirt and in the end make it worse. But what you dont want to do is spray too much down it because it will just run down the cable into your carby. The proper way to do it is to relase the throttle out of the top of the carby, unhook the cable and then spray WD40 down while pushing the cable in and out real fast that will do a better job,

  • @AceOfSpadesPRO01 negative a common misconception is that WD-40 is a lubricant it IS NOT in fact it is designed to displace and remove moisture it dries things out it is more a degreaser than a lubricant

  • @AceOfSpadesPRO01 dude, wd40 is notorius for attracting dirt lol. get some purpose made lubricant for your bike and just fucking do it right

  • uhm buddy your throttle sticking means your throttle cable and system is being pushed farther into the handle bar towards the middle of bars

as you go closer to the middle the bar gets bigger

pull your cable and system outwards and it should fix it

    dont use WD40 please!!!!

  • @spunkflunck I wouldn't think that wd would wear it down. it just doesn't have the longest lasting effect, so when you get the time I would get some cable lub, but in the mean time wd40 should do fine. You probly have been to this site already, but thumper talk will have your answer for sure

  • i hear people say wd40 isnt good for it and will wear it down

  • @spunkflunk correct the WD is only lubing in this application because it is breaking down the composition of the grease he has in the throttle housing. Even so its a great video and a good way to get you

    home in a pinch
