in college he was by far the best. More than held his own in the NBA. Too fragile for my taste but if he wasn't so injury prone I would easily consider him one of the best ever.
I don't like bill walton, i use to watch him as a child and always got disappointed at my time for failing when they played him, but i dis-like his son even more, luke walton is like one of the worst players i've ever seen!
@NewFromDisney you're from Disney? 2" in the nba who cares he played Center Before you call some one out show your facts was it 2 or 3 what years ? Why use that kind of venom in a sports post?
playing in the nba is ROUGH on every aspect of your legs..i worked the player association meetings in 1996 (bellman) here in vegas, and it was funny seeing alot of the guys from waltons era alex english, bob dandridge..the other names escape me right now, but they were all still tall, not as tall as when they played, still thin, usually with a bit of a belly, and even though they were in there 40s they walked like they were in there 70s..
Bill Walton was one of the great players in NBA history when he was healthy. Injuries were his downfall but when he was 100% he had an all around game that could rival anyones.
Despite having basically his entire career marred by injury Walton still managed to win 2 NBA championships, an NBA MVP award, a playoff MVP award and a 6th man of the year award. If he had managed to escape the injury bug there would be no question as to his place amongst the games greats. I will always love Walton because he played as hard as he could every game he could, and like he said - he'd play every game he was able, just because he loved it so much
Bill Walton was the greatest center to ever play basketball.

Robin Roberts is a lying bitch here when she says that Walton led UCLA to 3 ncaa titles. It was 2. Walton's true height was closer to 7'1 than 6'11.
