I still can not get my head around how this man served two terms. In Britain he would not even make an assistant cleaner let alone hold a political position.
@YEELKEED In Britain that country is so stupid it's about to be run by Islamists in fact it already is. When your prime minister's sister in law converts to Islam, you should shut the fuck up out of embarassment
@qw2589 You sound so ignorant with what you just wrote, but then again your grand father used to lynch black people and had a bunch of slaves, so hating people probably is in your DNA wiring. George W. Is genuinely nice man with average intelligence thrust into a presidency that he couldn't handle at all, only to receive a huge backlash of criticism and mockery from the general public. Sad.
@lesslove4u Mockery? If he gets mocked for sounding or looking stupid, then he's getting off lightly. Maybe non-US citizens' deaths don't get as much media attention, but this 'genuinely nice guy' is responsible for the deaths of many many innocent people. He's started wars that killed more men women and children than Al Qaeda. Why do you think he's a nice man, cos he chuckles on a light entertainment show?
@jimbobeire The problem with your statement is that u seem 2 absolve al-Qaeda of their contribution 2 the deaths in those wars. A recent U.N. report claims that 80% of civilian deaths in Afghanistan this year r attributable 2 the insurgency, so why do u choose to blame them on Bush? Is that ur version of justice? If a car bomber targets a crowded market, George W Bush did it? If I recall, he believed terrorists should b fought, while people like u believed they should b surrendered 2.
@Re5Publica Firstly you skipped the deaths in Iraq, where Al Qaeda was about the smallest part of the insurgency, and then in Afghanistan you confuse 'the insurgency' with Al Qaeda, and only discuss 1 year of a 10 year war. Car bombers are car bombers, I didn't confuse them with anything. Do you confuse aerial bombardment by B52s, F16s, Helicopter gunships and western artillery with car bombs? 'smoking them out' shouldn't mean the smouldering corpses of and innocent villagers.

@jimbobeire I was interested in hearing your answers to my questions.
I often hear anti-war activists talk about the innocent people killed, but what strikes me is how they blame ALL the casualties on the U.S. It seems that they're totally ignorant of how a large number of those innocent people died, & don't care to know either. They just want to exploit them to further their own personal political propaganda. If u truly cared, u'd find out how they died, & how to stop them from being killed.
@Re5Publica What part of A is greater than B, did you interpret as meaning "therefore A is 100% and B is 0%"?
How many people did Al Qaeda kill by imposing sanctions, banning the importation of medicines, and the destruction of water and sewerage infrastructure? Or was that someone else? If you cared, you'd find out...
@jimbobeire The sanctions you're mentioning were intended to curb Iraq's ability to manufacture biological, and chemical weapons (which he had onced produced and deployed), and were conditional upon his compliance with U.N. weapons inspections which he did not comply with. I'm glad then that he was deposed, and his disarmament confirmed beyond a doubt. It was unfair for the Iraqi populace to suffer on account of Saddam's cat-and-mouse games with U.N. weapons inspectors.
@Re5Publica well, I've personally met with Dennis Halliday who was in charge of the Food for Oil programme, and I've met former weapons inspector (and US Marine) Scott Ritter. I'll take their expert opinions over the white house press statements any day. Regardless of what the sanctions 'intended' (officially) to do, they went on for years when it was apparent they caused massive civilian suffering. That's deliberate killing of civilians. Do you share Madeline Albright's opinion?
@jimbobeire have you read Hans von Sponeck's book about the sanctions? "A different kind of war". I'm sure you're aware who he is, he took over when Halliday quit, and then quit himself.
@jimbobeire Mahdi Obeidi was a top nuclear scientist on Saddam's payroll who buried diagrams for Iraq's nuclear program in his garden. Ritter claims that he spoke with him numerous times as a U.N. weapons inspector, and that Obeidi never told him this. Of course, we can imagine what Saddam would've done to him and his family if he did. Obeidi provided the diagrams to U.S. forces after the invasion of Iraq. Saddam always had the intention of restarting his WMD programs. Sanctions prevented him.
@Re5Publica Sanctions killed half a million children. Diagrams don't kill people. If he wasn't able to get a location to assemble and hide the parts what was he going to do? That's a very weak argument. Iraq wasn't invaded because of WMD and none were found.
@jimbobeire It's strange that you mistrust George W. Bush, but seem 2 b entirely trusting of Saddam Hussein. U have no problem believing George W. Bush lied 2 the international community, but find the argument that Saddam lied 2 U.N. weapons inspectors hard 2 believe. Why?
Mahdi explicitly states he was ordered by Saddam 2 lie 2 U.N. weapons inspectors, including Ritter, & that it was sanctions that prevented Saddam from acquiring the materials 2 carry his nuclear weapons program forward.
@Re5Publica I mistrust YOU, as I clearly said no such thing. That's a very very weak attempt at argument. So weak that I don't believe it is honest conversation. Do you also believe that Scott Ritter was taking people at their word? There would have been no need to drive around inspecting compounds if all they had to do was simply ask. How exactly did banning pain killers for kids with cancer prevent Saddam Hussein from making a bomb?
@jimbobeire Yes, Ritter refuses to admit that Mahdi Obeidi, whom he had questioned revealed that he was ordered by Saddam to hide the plans for centrifuges in his garden and to lie to inspectors.
Many things used for medical research and agriculture can be weaponized. Like chlorine used for water purification, Anthrax used to produce vaccines, pesticides can be used to produce Sarin gas, which Iraqi insurgents actually attempted to use against U.S. troops in 2004, using a saddam-era weapon.
@Re5Publica and the painkillers? They were going to let Saddam repeat some of the horrors he got away with when he was a US ally gassing Kurds and Iranians, with materials from NATO countries and intelligience assistance from the US? Yeah, those kids deserved to suffer from cancer, cholera etc, just because the dictator stopped being a US ally, eh? Aren't those kids lucky there haven't been any more biochemical weapons used in Iraq... like white phosphorous or depleted uranium rounds?...
@jimbobeire U believe in all the typical anti-american cliches. Have u ever read the WHO's articles on depleted uranium? Do you understand the significance of the word "depleted" in the name? White phosphorous is also not banned for use in warfare, as it has practical military uses as an illuminant. Neither are classified as illegal weapons. It's ignorant to suggest that they are.
I fully admit, former U.S. admin. preferred Iraq to revolutionary Iran, who had held U.S. embassy staff hostage.
@Re5Publica That's not an answer saying it's a cliche. I've MET one of the guys who first collected DU from Iraq and studied it. Depleted refers to whether or not it can be used for nuclear fission, NOT that it is harmless and no longer radioactive. White Phosphorous can be used for smoke screens and illumination, that's the loophole that keeps it from being banned outright. Of course when dropped on populated areas then it is illegal as it burns through skin and bone. as was done in Fallujah.
@Re5Publica I'm tired of debating with someone who's got nothing but spin. If you were interested in truth you could find out for yourself the damage done to Iraqis by sanctions, shock and awe, lack of health and water infrastructure, and the carnage in Fallujah. You prefer to spin it away. Well, you have the stage amigo... spin to your hearts content.
@jimbobeire You're accusing me of spin? You just presented two legal types of munitions as if they were banned "biochemical" weapons, and suggested that Iraqi children had cancer because of the U.S..
Carnage in Fallujah, Fallujah had one of the highest voter turnouts in Iraq after the operation to clear it of al-Qaeda militants, who, btw, threatened to kill anyone who voted in elections. If you had any idea of the injustice and damage u do by ignoring these facts you'd be ashamed of yourself.
@Re5Publica You think it makes a difference to people burned by WP that it isn't legally banned? Yes you're a spin doctor. Anything criticising the current wars is "anti-american cliche", whereas when referring to the time when Saddam was a US ally, that was a former 'administration'. Interesting use of language. a live issue hides behind the cover of the whole flag. 'Old news' of course, that can rest with the government. The slaughter in Al Qaeda was not a surgical strike against terrorists.
Respond to this video... "we were told to target ALL taxis". That's indiscriminate, targets civilians. The Fallujah central clinic was bombed twice from the air. Go ahead, you're spinning like an olympic skater now. Not quite as talented or entertaining of course.
@jimbobeire Fallujah was mostly evacuated, since news of an upcoming military operation was given to the residents of Fallujah weeks in advance, for the purpose of giving them time to make evacuation preparations (the U.S. had set-up refuges in Baghdad for the residents - they chose to give up the tactical element of surprise to spare civilian lives).
Insurgents used ambulances as troops carriers, and would wave white flags to draw U.S. troops in for an ambush. Both are war crimes.
@Re5Publica "Mostly evacuated" women, children and the elderly were allowed to leave. Are you asserting all the able bodied men were al qaeda insurgents? Have you spoken to anybody who was there? Have you ever met an Iraqi? And do you consider than Mark II incendiary bombs are basically napalm, altered to try to get around a loophole on the ban on napalm? Shoot to kill policies, napalm, white phosphorous, 50% of houses flattened or uninhabitable... Stop your cheerleading.
@jimbobeire I know Iraqis, but I also know Afghans, including one Afghan whose brother, coincidentally drove taxi and was shot for failing to stop at a checkpoint, he wasn't killed, as he was shot in the foot, but he understood why it happened. He understood, unlike you, that insurgents use civilian vehicles as weapons of war, which naturally puts civilians in danger as a result, which is why such practices have been considered war crimes for over 50 years. But, u seem oblivious to that fact.

@Re5Publica bombing hospitals and using indiscriminate area weapons against civilian areas is also illegal, but I haven't noticed you remark on that. Difference between you and me, is I'm not cheerleading for one side in this war, I haven't tried to defend the crude tactics of Al Qaeda, while you try to whitewash the invasion and occupation of Iraq. You have to try to put words in my mouth and dodge questions. That gets old fast. Au revoir mon ami.
@jimbobeire They used airstrikes, and tank fire, which were neither indescriminate, and since the civilian population had left the city, it was certainly not illegal. George Orwell used to say about pacifists during the second world war, that they were objectively pro-fascist, since if someone hampers the war effort of one side, you naturally aid that of the other. By singling out the U.S., and calling for their surrender, you are as a result effectively facilitating an al-Qaeda victory.
@Re5Publica What, you couldn't fit in any more non-sequiturs in one comment? I am disappointed. Tell you what, when you're ready for honest debate, then drop me a line. Until then, you can keep trolling along kid.
@jimbobeire That was George Orwell's assessment, I happen to agree. Al-Qaeda, without a doubt, could've claimed a victory after a U.S. withdrawal, and continue their rampage unhindered by the U.S. military. So, whether you think you are or not, you're aiding one side over the other. I hope, if anything, that you realize that fact, and take whatever precautions in the future to ensure that your personal anti-americanism doesn't benefit totalitarian thugs and murderers waging war against mankind.
How in the fuck did this moron end up becoming the president of the US? HOW?! I really don't understand how Gore managed to lose the polls! If Gore had became president (which should've happened in the first place), we wouldn't have as much stupidity going on in the White House, and we wouldn't have such a DICK as a vice president! This crazy-ass country back then. What a wild political ride...
Bush was an illegal President and should be tried and jailed.
If it wasnt for his brother Jeb Floradia Gov, and desiding vote (illegal). Al Gore should have been the next President for 2000. Major vote tampering.
Also W Bush should be Jailed for the lack of help to Mississippi ie south after the hurricaine. And his involvemrnt with the middle east and Haliburton (Chainey) (George bush) & W Bush) and now pres.Obama is left with a country in a disaray and broke. Bushs and only good war
I hope you are kidding because Bush never saved us from SHIT! Because of his UTTER INCOMPETENCE in August 2001 he ignored a CIA memo titled "BIN LADEN DETERMINED TO STRIKE IN US," which detailed Bin Laden's plan to fly airliners into buildings!
@macgeek2004 I agree. Plus, he was behind the whole 9/11 ordeal. Our own government killed it's own citizens. And, for what reasons? For oil from another country. Sad, this man and the government are all evil.
THANK YOU PRESIDENT BUSH FOR FREEING MILLIONS OF MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN FROM BRUTAL TYRANNY; FOR SAVING MILLIONS OF LIVES IN AFRICA FROM HIV/AIDS; FOR PROTECTING AMERICA AND HER ALLIES, FOR CREATING OVER 8 MILLION JOBS TO KEEP OUR ECONOMY GOING AFTER 9/11 AND FOR FINALLY GETTING BIN LADEN!!!! JOB WELL DONE! YOUR LEADERSHIP IS SORELY MISSED.
This is what America needs to know from Europe. The reason why we didnt respect you guys especially during Bush was sometimes you miss to prove the slightest bit of good reasoning and a general unhealthy state of mind which goes a long way in making life better, 'I know, a few Americans are shocked at that revelation', even a few adults thinking like kids is a serious issue, your racial issue is such an example, remember that you guys are apperantly the beakon of freedom thus I say that.
But america is the beakon of freedom. But what does complete freedom mean. Everyone in america is free and equal. But your free to do anything. Unbalancing with credit and fame over others.
Everybody can do what they want. So some majorities in america get less supplies to move ahead and they get stuck depressed addicted and convicted in crime.
Freedom doesnt mean you inherit it but earn it. Atleast in america.
Freedom has become a hunt. Its should actualy be the support
of a government to guide peoples life to limited freedom. But freedom should both be earned and supplied.
Thats why health care in america should be established. America calls itself a 1st world country. Lots of americans share the principle that people should just suffer if they cant afford any healthcare while prosperity is determined from birth because its your neighbourhood that supplies your chances in life.
Meanwhile a elite bias newsstation runs a comedy show with oreilly telling people
the fakest of lies using basic interrogation rules to shut his guests down to win his voice. And the loudest voice no matter what runs out of it is routed and listened to.
Man... Its good to see this asshole run yellow in the face. Then again, theirs a total different public watching letterman then the people that watch fox.
george fuck head what did u think when the towers wher hit? did u think they would fall so perfect??? presidents lmao , one answer u know what that is, as 4 big coward he shot his foot before he had 2 go and serve his country WANKER....
This comment might not get seen at all But I'm gonna try to plow this up so some one can answer this for me. In the movie FahrenHYPE 911 in the first 5 minutes this guy says the person who told bush the country was under attack, and that a second plane hit the tower, all in the span of like 4 seconds (plausable i guess) Had a notebook in his hand that said "Dont React to this" which he showed to bush, then positioned himself so the camera couldnt see it. Is this true?
No pun intended and I really think Mr.Bush is a nice family man -but honestly, what did people see in him to vote him for president? I'm genuinely bewildered
@david42391 To decide that she has the "right" to terminate an innocent human life? Nobody, but NOBODY has that so-called "right". Face the facts: That's exactly what happens every time a so-called "doctor" performs an abortion: An innocent human life dies. By the way, there is no "right to choose" embedded in the Constitution. In case you don't know, I suggest you read the document from start to finish.
@david42391 : The Constitution doesn't but that's because the Founders didn't think it was necessary. The Declaration of Independence already spells out three individual rights that are absolute ("inalienable"): Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Yes, an absolute right to life is recognized in the Declaration.
Im sorry, how the fuck did this idiot become president. No chance did the majority of americans vote for him, hes like a cartoon drawing of himself, look at his bobbling head and childish giggling hes a complete and utter moron. He sure as fuck wasn't makin any decisions. He probably sat in a play pen until they needed him to read of a script
@Fr0gEyE The majority of Americans did not actually vote for him. It was all a fraud. The people who were counting the votes did their job irresponsibly, and decided to take Al Gore's votes and stack them on top of Bush's. It's like a polygrapher, who does lie detector tests. People trust them to be 100% honest. Why wasn't he impeached? I don't know. But things like this have happened before.Majority of the world did not support Adolf Hitler but he gained power through bribes and lies.
@Fr0gEyE Of course, the moron who currently holds the office is really a national disgrace who may very well NOT have been born in the USA. Obama is probably the one person who was most unqualified for the job.
@rejectminority I would take Sarah Palin over ANY of the liberal democrats who are even thinking of running in 2012. Unlike those would-be socialists, she is 100% Pro-Life, and that's important enough for me to earn my vote.
@DeedsResearcher Palin? 100% Pro-Life??? Seriously? If she was elected, she'll probably be even worst than BUSH!!! She didn't get a passport till 2006, did you even see the Palin-Katie Couric interview?? Obama's not my favorite president but he's wayyy wayyy better than Palin!!!
@rejectminority So what if she didn't get a passport until 2006? I'm almost 62, and I still don't have a passport! Why not? Because I've had no desire or plans to travel to a country where I would need one. So, why bother? Having a passport does not qualify a person for the presidency, and I'm sure you know that.
@DeedsResearcher Yeah you're so right! Why would a president need to travel to another country right? Why would they need to travel to anywhere at all??? A president could do his/her work right where he/she lives and not move to another country cause hey, "A passport does not qualify a person for the presidency". Then why did she obtained one when, you said so, if it is not needed? You're 62, get a passport and go on vacation, you're not becoming president anyway, sincerely :D
@rejectminority A head of state does not need a passport in order to travel to another country. That's a courtesy that is universally granted. As an example: The Pope does not need a passport. He is universally recognized as a Head of State (the smallest nation on Earth just happens to be Vatican City).
I've been thinking of taking a trip to Costa Rica or Ecuador, and both would require a passport from ordinary citizens. Under Diplomatic Courtesy, the president does not need a passport.
@DeedsResearcher Oh... Sure thing! :D We disagree on each other, i understand :) Funny thing is that this video is about Bush and now we're talking about vacations and holidays lol
@Fr0gEyE In case you haven't heard this is a Republic, not a democracy. Please Google "the electoral college" for more information on how your federal executives are elected. Ironic though, that you're calling him an idiot and you don't even know how presidents are elected.
@Fr0gEyE Probably because a lot of voting Americans used their own common sense judgement instead of thinking somebody was dumb just because they were going along with some stupid bandwagon opinion.

Who would have known, that about 10 years ago, the best president of the United States would be interviewed before getting elected? I know a lot of people bash him, but you know what? 2000 years ago there was another man whose ideas were rather unpopular and controversial. But what do people think of THAT guy now? Exactly. BUSH JR = BEST PRESIDENT EVER!!

@VoiceOfModeration There is an interview on youtube that he made (with video) where he is asked if he is a member of skull and bones secret society and he says: "its so secret we can't talk about it" John kerry is asked a similar question and then trys to worm his way out of it. *rolls eyes* (in a patronising way) lol
@VoiceOfModeration "The stuff these kids are making up" Its an interview with george bush on mainstream tv in America. Watch the video titled (Bush Admits Skull and Bones) its on youtube. Then we can talk...
@DTX85 If the "society" is so "secret", how can you be so sure they do "satanic rituals"? Are you also a member of that society? Kindly offer some proof of your allegation, or else kindly retract it.
Research the origins of Skull & Bones for yourself. Read the writings of the Yale graduate who wrote a book on her findings of the organization. By satanic rituals, don't be confused by the christian sense of the term. It simply means, rituals that are performed to create shame and paranoia on the initiate, just as the knights templars initiates were made to spit on crosses to pledge their allegiance (which was a death sentence in those days) This creates a loyality based on fear.
@DTX85 I suppose you also think the Knights of Columbus has "secret rituals" such as a secret handshake?
I would tend to discount any book that is penned by someone who is not "on the inside", and if the author was a member, what does it say about a person who violates the rules by divulging those secrets?
In closing. Don't you think that it is strange, that both opposing presidential candidates at the time were (Bush and Kerry) who are BOTH members of Skull & Bones and even more bizzarly are cousins...
I'm not biased though, I know that the same psychopathic elite that run the US, also run the UK. We are all fucked in a manner of speaking.
@DTX85 Strange? No. Unusual? Yes. Then again, both have money behind them, and both have a good education. Thankfully, Bush was Pro-Life, and his triumph over a pro-abortion Kerry says a lot. People of good conscience support the pro-life position.
i don't know... something about Bush aint right... he acts weird. The way he laughs and the jokes he tries to make. His facial expressions... something tells me this man has done some REALLY sick shit in his lifetime. Whatever that may be.
@Severe777 I think he isn't relaxed around Letterman. Letterman is a hardcore liberal and said a lot of stuff about Bush over the years. He doesn't joke about Obama nearly as much. And Obama has plenty of gaffes.
@Severe777 It's obvious he isn't acting like most would. To say, "I'm seeing a stone cold killer" is just a little bit much. To each his own. Happy New Year to you, sir.
@reno93535 Excuse my darkness.I might know that much about US History in particular.but what did you mean by that statement.I have read a lot of good things about Jimmy Carter.I think he is a wonderful and brave man.
@TheBuffaloeye Sir. When Carter became president in 1976, I was 16 and started following politics. Within 2 years inflation and interest rates zoomed to between 15 and 20%. Those were just one of the major failures during the Carter years 1976-1980. He should have stuck with his Peanut Farm. Lately I've seen him buddy up with the Hugo Chavez and badmouth our country.
@reno93535 Thanks.Let's consider him a bad politician. But in the other hand he is the only one who dared to say something against Israel. And we all know that all financial operations in the world, especially in USA r controlled by Zionist.Interest rates as well.Maybe they just made it so he wouldn't b reelected. But I think I should read about him more.I've heard that he was a priest. To have a good faith doesn't make u a good politician-I would even tell it takes u away from being it.
@TheBuffaloeye Good point. I do agree with him on Israel. The Jewish control of the media and Hollywood, and influence on U.S. government policies need t
bush has no personality , Jesus. america would have been better of having Letterman run two terms.

Car bombers are car bombers, I didn't confuse them with anything. Do you confuse aerial bombardment by B52s, F16s, Helicopter gunships and western artillery with car bombs? 'smoking them out' shouldn't mean the smouldering corpses of and innocent villagers.
jimbobeire 4 months ago
@Re5Publica I think the problem with my statement is that it disagrees with your political leanings. The statement itself is factually correct.
jimbobeire 4 months ago
@jimbobeire I was interested in hearing your answers to my questions.
I often hear anti-war activists talk about the innocent people killed, but what strikes me is how they blame ALL the casualties on the U.S. It seems that they're totally ignorant of how a large number of those innocent people died, & don't care to know either. They just want to exploit them to further their own personal political propaganda. If u truly cared, u'd find out how they died, & how to stop them from being killed.
Re5Publica 4 months ago
@Re5Publica What part of A is greater than B, did you interpret as meaning "therefore A is 100% and B is 0%"?
How many people did Al Qaeda kill by imposing sanctions, banning the importation of medicines, and the destruction of water and sewerage infrastructure? Or was that someone else? If you cared, you'd find out...
jimbobeire 4 months ago
@jimbobeire The sanctions you're mentioning were intended to curb Iraq's ability to manufacture biological, and chemical weapons (which he had onced produced and deployed), and were conditional upon his compliance with U.N. weapons inspections which he did not comply with. I'm glad then that he was deposed, and his disarmament confirmed beyond a doubt. It was unfair for the Iraqi populace to suffer on account of Saddam's cat-and-mouse games with U.N. weapons inspectors.
Re5Publica 4 months ago
@Re5Publica well, I've personally met with Dennis Halliday who was in charge of the Food for Oil programme, and I've met former weapons inspector (and US Marine) Scott Ritter. I'll take their expert opinions over the white house press statements any day. Regardless of what the sanctions 'intended' (officially) to do, they went on for years when it was apparent they caused massive civilian suffering. That's deliberate killing of civilians. Do you share Madeline Albright's opinion?
jimbobeire 4 months ago
@jimbobeire have you read Hans von Sponeck's book about the sanctions? "A different kind of war". I'm sure you're aware who he is, he took over when Halliday quit, and then quit himself.
jimbobeire 4 months ago
@jimbobeire Mahdi Obeidi was a top nuclear scientist on Saddam's payroll who buried diagrams for Iraq's nuclear program in his garden. Ritter claims that he spoke with him numerous times as a U.N. weapons inspector, and that Obeidi never told him this. Of course, we can imagine what Saddam would've done to him and his family if he did. Obeidi provided the diagrams to U.S. forces after the invasion of Iraq. Saddam always had the intention of restarting his WMD programs. Sanctions prevented him.
Re5Publica 4 months ago
@Re5Publica Sanctions killed half a million children. Diagrams don't kill people. If he wasn't able to get a location to assemble and hide the parts what was he going to do? That's a very weak argument. Iraq wasn't invaded because of WMD and none were found.
jimbobeire 4 months ago
@jimbobeire It's strange that you mistrust George W. Bush, but seem 2 b entirely trusting of Saddam Hussein. U have no problem believing George W. Bush lied 2 the international community, but find the argument that Saddam lied 2 U.N. weapons inspectors hard 2 believe. Why?
Mahdi explicitly states he was ordered by Saddam 2 lie 2 U.N. weapons inspectors, including Ritter, & that it was sanctions that prevented Saddam from acquiring the materials 2 carry his nuclear weapons program forward.
Re5Publica 4 months ago
@Re5Publica I mistrust YOU, as I clearly said no such thing. That's a very very weak attempt at argument. So weak that I don't believe it is honest conversation. Do you also believe that Scott Ritter was taking people at their word? There would have been no need to drive around inspecting compounds if all they had to do was simply ask. How exactly did banning pain killers for kids with cancer prevent Saddam Hussein from making a bomb?
jimbobeire 4 months ago
@jimbobeire Yes, Ritter refuses to admit that Mahdi Obeidi, whom he had questioned revealed that he was ordered by Saddam to hide the plans for centrifuges in his garden and to lie to inspectors.
Many things used for medical research and agriculture can be weaponized. Like chlorine used for water purification, Anthrax used to produce vaccines, pesticides can be used to produce Sarin gas, which Iraqi insurgents actually attempted to use against U.S. troops in 2004, using a saddam-era weapon.
Re5Publica 4 months ago
@Re5Publica and the painkillers? They were going to let Saddam repeat some of the horrors he got away with when he was a US ally gassing Kurds and Iranians, with materials from NATO countries and intelligience assistance from the US? Yeah, those kids deserved to suffer from cancer, cholera etc, just because the dictator stopped being a US ally, eh? Aren't those kids lucky there haven't been any more biochemical weapons used in Iraq... like white phosphorous or depleted uranium rounds?...
jimbobeire 4 months ago
@jimbobeire U believe in all the typical anti-american cliches. Have u ever read the WHO's articles on depleted uranium? Do you understand the significance of the word "depleted" in the name? White phosphorous is also not banned for use in warfare, as it has practical military uses as an illuminant. Neither are classified as illegal weapons. It's ignorant to suggest that they are.
I fully admit, former U.S. admin. preferred Iraq to revolutionary Iran, who had held U.S. embassy staff hostage.
Re5Publica 4 months ago
@Re5Publica That's not an answer saying it's a cliche. I've MET one of the guys who first collected DU from Iraq and studied it. Depleted refers to whether or not it can be used for nuclear fission, NOT that it is harmless and no longer radioactive. White Phosphorous can be used for smoke screens and illumination, that's the loophole that keeps it from being banned outright. Of course when dropped on populated areas then it is illegal as it burns through skin and bone. as was done in Fallujah.
jimbobeire 4 months ago
@Re5Publica I'm tired of debating with someone who's got nothing but spin. If you were interested in truth you could find out for yourself the damage done to Iraqis by sanctions, shock and awe, lack of health and water infrastructure, and the carnage in Fallujah. You prefer to spin it away. Well, you have the stage amigo... spin to your hearts content.
jimbobeire 4 months ago
@jimbobeire You're accusing me of spin? You just presented two legal types of munitions as if they were banned "biochemical" weapons, and suggested that Iraqi children had cancer because of the U.S..
Carnage in Fallujah, Fallujah had one of the highest voter turnouts in Iraq after the operation to clear it of al-Qaeda militants, who, btw, threatened to kill anyone who voted in elections. If you had any idea of the injustice and damage u do by ignoring these facts you'd be ashamed of yourself.
Re5Publica 4 months ago
@Re5Publica You think it makes a difference to people burned by WP that it isn't legally banned? Yes you're a spin doctor. Anything criticising the current wars is "anti-american cliche", whereas when referring to the time when Saddam was a US ally, that was a former 'administration'. Interesting use of language. a live issue hides behind the cover of the whole flag. 'Old news' of course, that can rest with the government. The slaughter in Al Qaeda was not a surgical strike against terrorists.
jimbobeire 4 months ago
Respond to this video... "we were told to target ALL taxis". That's indiscriminate, targets civilians. The Fallujah central clinic was bombed twice from the air. Go ahead, you're spinning like an olympic skater now. Not quite as talented or entertaining of course.
jimbobeire 4 months ago
@jimbobeire Fallujah was mostly evacuated, since news of an upcoming military operation was given to the residents of Fallujah weeks in advance, for the purpose of giving them time to make evacuation preparations (the U.S. had set-up refuges in Baghdad for the residents - they chose to give up the tactical element of surprise to spare civilian lives).
Insurgents used ambulances as troops carriers, and would wave white flags to draw U.S. troops in for an ambush. Both are war crimes.
Re5Publica 4 months ago
@Re5Publica "Mostly evacuated" women, children and the elderly were allowed to leave. Are you asserting all the able bodied men were al qaeda insurgents? Have you spoken to anybody who was there? Have you ever met an Iraqi? And do you consider than Mark II incendiary bombs are basically napalm, altered to try to get around a loophole on the ban on napalm? Shoot to kill policies, napalm, white phosphorous, 50% of houses flattened or uninhabitable... Stop your cheerleading.
jimbobeire 4 months ago
@jimbobeire I know Iraqis, but I also know Afghans, including one Afghan whose brother, coincidentally drove taxi and was shot for failing to stop at a checkpoint, he wasn't killed, as he was shot in the foot, but he understood why it happened. He understood, unlike you, that insurgents use civilian vehicles as weapons of war, which naturally puts civilians in danger as a result, which is why such practices have been considered war crimes for over 50 years. But, u seem oblivious to that fact.
Re5Publica 4 months ago

Re5Publica 4 months ago
@Re5Publica bombing hospitals and using indiscriminate area weapons against civilian areas is also illegal, but I haven't noticed you remark on that. Difference between you and me, is I'm not cheerleading for one side in this war, I haven't tried to defend the crude tactics of Al Qaeda, while you try to whitewash the invasion and occupation of Iraq. You have to try to put words in my mouth and dodge questions. That gets old fast. Au revoir mon ami.
jimbobeire 4 months ago
@jimbobeire They used airstrikes, and tank fire, which were neither indescriminate, and since the civilian population had left the city, it was certainly not illegal. George Orwell used to say about pacifists during the second world war, that they were objectively pro-fascist, since if someone hampers the war effort of one side, you naturally aid that of the other. By singling out the U.S., and calling for their surrender, you are as a result effectively facilitating an al-Qaeda victory.
Re5Publica 4 months ago
@Re5Publica What, you couldn't fit in any more non-sequiturs in one comment? I am disappointed. Tell you what, when you're ready for honest debate, then drop me a line. Until then, you can keep trolling along kid.
jimbobeire 4 months ago
@jimbobeire That was George Orwell's assessment, I happen to agree. Al-Qaeda, without a doubt, could've claimed a victory after a U.S. withdrawal, and continue their rampage unhindered by the U.S. military. So, whether you think you are or not, you're aiding one side over the other. I hope, if anything, that you realize that fact, and take whatever precautions in the future to ensure that your personal anti-americanism doesn't benefit totalitarian thugs and murderers waging war against mankind.

America calls itself a 1st world country. david42391 10 months ago

DeedsResearcher 10 months ago
@DeedsResearcher Palin? 100% Pro-Life??? Seriously? If she was elected, she'll probably be even worst than BUSH!!! She didn't get a passport till 2006, did you even see the Palin-Katie Couric interview?? Obama's not my favorite president but he's wayyy wayyy better than Palin!!!
rejectminority 10 months ago
@rejectminority So what if she didn't get a passport until 2006? I'm almost 62, and I still don't have a passport! Why not? Because I've had no desire or plans to travel to a country where I would need one. So, why bother? Having a passport does not qualify a person for the presidency, and I'm sure you know that.
DeedsResearcher 10 months ago
@DeedsResearcher Yeah you're so right! Why would a president need to travel to another country right? Why would they need to travel to anywhere at all??? A president could do his/her work right where he/she lives and not move to another country cause hey, "A passport does not qualify a person for the presidency". Then why did she obtained one when, you said so, if it is not needed? You're 62, get a passport and go on vacation, you're not becoming president anyway, sincerely :D
rejectminority 10 months ago
@rejectminority A head of state does not need a passport in order to travel to another country. That's a courtesy that is universally granted. As an example: The Pope does not need a passport. He is universally recognized as a Head of State (the smallest nation on Earth just happens to be Vatican City).
I've been thinking of taking a trip to Costa Rica or Ecuador, and both would require a passport from ordinary citizens. Under Diplomatic Courtesy, the president does not need a passport.

DeedsResearcher 10 months ago
Research the origins of Skull & Bones for yourself. Read the writings of the Yale graduate who wrote a book on her findings of the organization. By satanic rituals, don't be confused by the christian sense of the term. It simply means, rituals that are performed to create shame and paranoia on the initiate, just as the knights templars initiates were made to spit on crosses to pledge their allegiance (which was a death sentence in those days) This creates a loyality based on fear.
DTX85 10 months ago
@DTX85 I suppose you also think the Knights of Columbus has "secret rituals" such as a secret handshake?
I would tend to discount any book that is penned by someone who is not "on the inside", and if the author was a member, what does it say about a person who violates the rules by divulging those secrets?
