The credits on the DVD only list "D*mn the Defiant" (edited for the Youtube censors) as a source, but that must be for video footage, because I actually found that soundtrack, and none of the music on it was used in this documentary. :(
The entire soundtrack on this was awesome. I'd love to track down the music pieces.
@adonaldumich did you ever find out what this song was? i love it and have been searching like mad but cant find it anywhere. it sounds alot like ride of the valkeries at the beginning but its not from that piece.
Best intro in Documentry history I personally thought. I loved this when it was on the history channel, an age of naval warfare gone forever. What I do not get is the fact this was a series not a long documentry, so the DVD link can't be right a lone 50 minute DVD?
@Luminahawke I bought it, it's a four part series, two episodes per DVD. They might be 50 min EACH.
My only regret is that, for some reason, on the DVD they replaced the original narrator. The narrator in the credits doesn't do it on the DVD, instead it's Eric Grove speaking. Trouble is, he's also one of the historians interviewed, so his narration tends to run into his interview voice overs, and it loses the original effect. (Plus the original narrator had a better voice!)

Thanks. I tried looking for this, but it's too vague. Do you know the name of the orchestra, or any other information?
