I know everyone loved Ray Clay but hearing Tommy Edwards scream Miiiiiichael Jordan like he was a fan when MJ would make an incredible shot was just awesome. While Ray would get the crowd going before the game with the intros Tommy kept them going through out the game. I was so pissed when he was replaced cause I will take him anyday over Ray Clay. The poor guy started the whole from North Carolina thing and right before we win a title they bring in Clay.
That move at 6:52 is just downright nuts. The Knicks played that as best as they could. One of the defenders even gets a piece of the ball and he still can't stop him. Just amayzing.
Anybody that believes Kobe Bryant is even in the same stratosphere as MJ needs to have their head examined. The guy played a brand of defense that Kobe could only dream of. Let me know when Bryant wins "Defensive Player of the Year" the same year he wins MVP.
lol! Even Kobe himself doesn't believe that. In an interview w/ Stephen A. Smith, he makes it clear that he can't be MJ b/c the latter is the greatest of all time.
You gott a love the smile between Jordan and Oakley at 4:56 after they hustled for the ball. You can just tell they were (and still are) great friends despite their hard play on the court.
Your edit of that classic from 1989 (20 years! Fuck!) was more fun to watch than the 2009 Playoffs as a whole, medestinier. Thanks.
This is a rare game but I've been waiting patiently for someone to post this game, thanks medestinier. I seen about 3 highlights from Michael Jordan's Playground on here 3:20, 4:13, 6:47
This dude fuckin fills up the stat sheet like nobody's business and he does it effortlessly. Nobody in the NBA today plays with this type of energy... any fuckin body. A guy like Kobe would die of exhaustion if he had to guard this version of Jordan. You cannot match this guys effort on both ends of the floor, all you can do is hope his teammates don't make their shots that's the only way to beat this version of Jordan
Sports center and the rest of those media fags were going gaga gaga over lebron and what he did in the playoffs this year. His stats and performances aren't shit compared to Jordan, at this time in his career.
Just crazy how dominant he is in this game... So good that the fact he got 5 steals doesnt even warrant a mention in the title of the video ! Imagine Kobe havign a game like this, it would make the news forever.. just another day in the office for MJ :)
What a great look by MJ at 2:00. MJ was so active, so fast at this point in his career. He did it all this game. That knicks defense was not as good as it later would become, but was so active, leaving only a split second to put up an open look. One of the most completel playoff games ever played. GOAT.
This has to be high on the PER for a single playoff game because Jordan filled the whole damn stat line up and by the way who noticed that he got all 5 of his dunks in the first half?
daniel is right , this sort of performance should be banned, no one player should be able to dominate in this fashion. If i have to keep one game as MJ's legacy, i think my choice would fall on this one. The commentators who by that point had gotten used to mj's out of this world skills, they themselves couldn't believe what he did in this game.this game leaves no doubt as to the fact that mj's level will never be attained, never
if this is the case, then you missed too many of MJ games btw '84-'90. Something ESPN deliberately downplays & underrated this MJ cuz Kobe & Lebron will start looking garbage all of a sudden.

There's also a game where he score 40+ while having 9 reb, 11 ast, and 9 stl. That's funking insane.

haha you can see that MJ and Oak were good friends.

The more you analyze MJ's game the better it gets! When the show his moves in slow motion, it's even better. True B-Ball genius!

Does anyone know how many minutes he played in this game?
yz450f03 2 years ago
He didn't play the last 4 minutes in the 4the quarter. So, he played about 38 minutes in the game.
medestinier 2 years ago
He really is better than in a video game in this game... and the scariest part is that it's not just this one time when he proved it
