You know, it does hurt me to see how ppl react to this. I used to be the same way. I used to believe prayer didn't work but when I prayed I always prayed for what I wanted and I was going through really difficult times. But the only way to pray and get the fullness out of it is when you pray that you never tell god what you want or to take you out of a mess your going through. Just ask him what it is he wants you to do. And If your waiting for an answer right away then that's a problem cuz god

Yeah I stopped watching after 0:50. If god really showed himself to people who prayed for him, I wouldn't be an atheist. Before you say anything: yes, I was an earnest christian in high school, I did pray honestly hoping he would show himself to me so I could preach that he really exists to all my heathen friends. And before you complain "don't watch it if you're offended" my friend wanted me to see this and give honest feedback. Here's the feedback on the first 50 seconds: prayer doesn't work.

@link090909 try watching the rest of it... God doesn't just appear before our eyes but He most definitely answers prayer. Maybe you didn't realize He was answering your prayers because what you had in mind to help your friends was not what He had in mind, or He was answering it in a different way than you wanted. He tends to do that. But sometimes His answer hurts, like in the skit. But God is SO good, and He answers prayer.
