Ok , To erase without erasing the black is easy , you put red as the #1 color and white as number 2 an hold down the RIGHT hand key ---if you don't hold that key it'll erase it all--- and go over the red.

Another way to erase the red to click image at the top. click invert colors, then attributes, check black and white, hit okay. invert the colors again. And if you want to be able to use colors again click the attributes again and check colors.

To erase the red he got the eraser and left clicked on "red" then he right clicked on the "white".Instead of erasing normally you use the "right click"so you press and hold and move the eraser around.You can do this with any two colors.There are many videos on ms paint tricks.Just type in"ms paint tricks"!

all you have to do is use the eraser tool and select the color you want to get rid of and make sure the background color is white and right click while you erase

You hold the right clicker on the mouse with the color you want to erase in the 1st box and erase. You can even replace colors this way by putting a different color in the 2nd box.

you erase the red by putting red as the colour that you would draw with, click the eraser, then hold down the right side of the mouse while you rub out. Then the black stays whereas the red goes. If i didn't explain it well enough just ask again and i'll try say it clearer. That's how i do it, it might be different on your computer though.
