dO YOU HAVE A VIDEO ON HOW TO CROCHET A LEFT HANDED TEDEYBEAR WITH SOME CLOTHES ON IT? I LOVE ALL YOUR VIDEOS THEIR VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND AND FOLLOW< SO I WAS WONDERING IF YOU EVER MADE ONE
@imaskee1 hello....Im sorry....We don't have any tutorials on how to crochet a bear or clothes that would fit him!! you might want to search around on google or youtube to see if there are any other videos out there to help you....good luck.....cathy@ The Crochet Crowd
PLEASE SOMEBODY WHO CAN HELP ME TO MAKE THIS DECREASE AND UNDERSTAND THIS PATTERN Rows 7 and 8 (decrease rows): Ch 3 (does not count as a st here and throughout), sk first 2 dc, sk next ch (decrease made), V-st in next dc, *sk next dc, sk next ch, V-st in next dc; repeat from * across to last V-st, sk next dc, sk next ch, dc in last dc, turn; change to A in last st of Row 8—21 (23, 25) V-sts at the end of Row 8.
do you know how to decrease by 1 chain of 5 at the end of a row. I have a mesh pattern and dont know where to go from here.
MESH PATTERN:
ch 5 and 1 sc in each ch-5 arch to end, join with sc in 1st lp and turn. Rep for mesh pattern. Pattern is worked back and forth in rows but joined at the end to form a "rnd".
Now the pattern calls for me to:
Dec 1 pat at end of next row by eliminating one ch-5 at end of row.
could you send me a personal message if you are able to help me.
@msBELENO hello....I think it wants you to decrease once .....so at last two stitches in the row you change the two stitches into one using the technique in this video and then chain 5.....chanel@mikeys helpdesk :)
I was halfway through a new project and when I got to this part in the pattern realized that I didn't have a clue how to decrease the stitches. I appreciate the video - so much easier than trying to learn from still shots and text!
I'm a beginner and I find that your videos are really easy to understand.
I like the fact you are so mellow while teaching and you tend to repeat things melodically. (I've watched a few videos so far and noticed you sort of 'sing' the steps. It becomes one with you haha.
But yeah, you being so mellow and melodic helped me realize that crochet can be peaceful and doesn't have to be rage inducing- so thank you for that!
Thank you for the video, very clear. I'm a beginner who has set herself the ridiculous task of making a panda teddy for her friend. Big mistake! But the video has definately helped!
@thesophiejayne I don't comment to much because of the 1000's of comments that come in each month... But I will say yours stuck me... Nothing is ever a mistake... the first key to success is desire... you have the desire... therefore you will succeed because you are motivated by a project! Most people when they start, they have no idea what they want to do and just fumble without a goal. I admire your courage and just want to say... KEEP UP THE EFFORT DAHLING!
hahahaaa wow, I was so off. I'm making socks for the first time and already did one and it looks good, but I never looked up how to '2 sc tog' until now. I ended up going thru both sets of loops first then YO and pulling it through so you have 2 loops on the needle then YO again and pulling through those to complete the stich. It decreased the row but holy crap it was such a pain in the ass. Thanks for this video!
Thanks so much for showing this! I was looking for "dec over next 2 dc" and didn't know what dec was! (i'm a beginner) I figured it out by watching you do it in a single crochet. It is basically the same concept. Thanks again Mikey!
I'm glad that you did this Mikey because when I was trying to learn how to decrease I searched for a long time for a video tutorial! Now there is someone on youtube!! You should make a tut for hdc, dc, and tc dec... because they are all so different!
Thanks, my aunt showed me this yesterday but I totally forgot how to do to it. All your videos are helpful
