hes never entered UFC because in UFC there contracts are 100% exclusive. meaning that melvin would never be able to fight in k-1 or anything else again. so naturally, he told them to fuck off.

@786quest He could've done steroids but so could a lot of people. The thing is, all juicers don't look like bodybuilders (think Barnett, Sylvia). Some guys are just naturally jacked like that. But it's possible he does use them.

Melvin's trainer seems like, to take that punishment that Manhoef dishes out, that he'd have to be a very powerful guy.

I'm surprised that he doesn't step in the ring.

I know he's probably a bit past it, but I get the feeling he could still kick ass if he stepped into the K-1 ring.

The trainer is Mike Passenier, and he is indeed a very good fighter, but he himself has stated more than once he doesn't quite have the temperament... He hates to lose! ;)

But he's the best coach I ever had, no exceptions.
