  • Great as always.

Everytime I see John Pisano I remember of my old friend Joe. They played together a lot n were good friends as well.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • VERAMENTE BRAVO!!!!!!!!!...COMPLIMENTII!!!!!!!!

  • Grandioso , vera chitarra jazz....

  • those that and this who dislike are not musicians, we understand bcoz we'r aliens :p

  • many years i i had a guitorgan for sale . John came to my place in malibu (paradise cove)calif. to check it out . in about an hour of messin with it,he had it down pretty good . he didn't buy it though . he had long dark hair then and so did i . LOL !

  • Tal Farlow's version blows his away. Farlow was the master

  • @EXP0SEtheFRAUDS so this is now a competition? not constructive. this guy is a master and so was tal.

  • @stratoman Just giving my honest opinion. And Kenny Burrell blows both of them away.

  • @EXP0SEtheFRAUDS this was not even a performance...he was noodling and did not know I had turned the camera on...it was in between breaks when I interviewed him for my blog

  • @stratoman Don´t bother answering stupids. They don´t understand. Is a great video! From Brazil

  • @EXP0SEtheFRAUDS No he's not. Farlow is technicaly beboper, while Pissano is much more sensitive, much more using chords and emotions. Burrel is "bluesying" almost every piece he's playing. No one of them is better than the other, everyone is the original playing different kind of music, even when playing the same song. Anyway, Farlow's fast playing wasn't very clear, to tell the truth...

  • That is the best video I've ever seen on youtube.

  • @ridofmenyc thanks, I filmed it in his home studio

  • cool : )

  • wow...i really...|REALLY need to practace more...

  • Farlow style

  • Thanks so much for this. What a treat to see.

  • Dope....

  • I remember you!

  • The perfect symbiosis between a man and his instrument (no pun intented... :) )

    Thanks for posting !!!

    5*

  • This is disgusting!! The greatest guitar player you never heard of. All those great recordings with Joe Pass, Herb Alpert, etc... What a genius, and probably a pretty nice guy as well.

  • @BCRSIX I was in his house a year ago and meet him for the first time through a friend. I have photo's of him and another friend and got to play the guitar that was owned by Joe Pass that was a gift to him by Joe's wife. John Pisano is a very nice man and it was a pleasure to hear and see him play for me with a little jamming. I hope someday I can get back up there to his house again. To live in his area would be the greatest because alot of the great guitarist live in and around that area.

  • It sounds like "Misty"

  • @jazzcatuna it's called i remember you

  • Comme toujours beau style forte originalité!

  • QUE BUEN GUSTO ,... SE NACE ,ES USTED UN MAESTRO FEKICITACIONES

    JUAN GENESY JAZZ

  • Beautiful.

  • cool

  • this dude is a master at the guitar.. sounds real nice..

  • kewl!

  • What a great rendition of "I Remember You"!!!!! J.P. you're at the top in my book.

Some may remember that Frank Ifield had a vocal hit of this song in 1962. I remember it because my sister had the 45 rpm record.

  • how did you get to video tape him? my first jazz album was a tape a high school teacher gave me of John Pisano & Joe Pass when I was 15. Joe Pass was easy to find along the years but I kept John Pisano in my mind (rhyming with Piano) and have had a hard time finding out more about him. My life as a musician has been shaped by this man although it's been several years since i've heard the album. i hear his playing in my playing and i love it. i used to stay up all night listening closely to him

  • no doubt is I remember you, sure

  • I did not give you a thumbs down.

  • I remember you

  • I will send him an email and ask him what he is playing over.

  • I'm pretty sure it's Misty...

  • @stratoman Its "I Remember You"

  • @stratoman It sounds like "I remember you."

  • It is not a specific song. He is improvising.

  • @stratoman it's a standard called "i remember you"
