  • Fucking ads! :((

  • some silly fuckers out there

  • wtf is this!!!

  • My mind just turned gay and old.

  • I really like the cellist Sylvia Schuster, she gave a nice contribute to band image

  • Kurt is doing a great job in this song

  • Go Kurk!!! Hehehe just kidding!

    Great song though!!!

    :)

  • i wonder if Nirvana were fans of Nirvana. i also wonder if Nirvana were fans of Nirvana

  • @garywingrove Well Nirvana came way before Nirvana, but Nirvana probably were fans of Nirvana.

  • holy shit a psychadelic band called nirvana from the 60s this is fuckin awsome!!!

  • What is the band ? Nirvana was in 90-s? or no ?

  • Super!

Both bands were totally different and trying to compare them is pointless. Both are exceptional!

  • Great to hear this song again, the 60s are back

  • jajajaja

  • Of 0.51 - 0.57 , who is the girl ?? she is so beauty ...looks so inocent...

  • @psychodied This cellist's name is Sylvia A. Schuster.

What's interesting, I've just seen a video on YouTube called "Patrick Campbell-Lyons (Nirvana UK) on Jimi Hendrix" with Patrick reading his book, "Psychedelic Days". According to him, Hendrix saw Nirvana's performance in a recording studio and told Sylvia that he loved what she was doing (however, she didn't know who he is).

Maybe there is something more in the book... I didn't get it yet, but it must be very interesting!

  • I wish one of the two bands wasn't' called Nirvana; seems a lot of people are missing the point: They're not in competition to be the 'better' nirvana. it's just a coincidence!

Both bands are clearly great. Personally I prefer Kurt's Nirvana. from a cultural point of view they did more for 'the (western) world' . but these guys; not the 'Real' Nirvana but the origional Nirvana, wrote/write fantastic music too.

how about we all just like the music that we like

  • the most criminally underated band of all time!

  • @marcusosullivan1976 i could not agree more

  • The real Nirvana

  • Loved this group growing up in the 60's, bought their singles/albums and i still play and enjoy them today. David.

  • I think it's time for another Nirvana..

  • I wonder if Curt Kobain's parents listened to this band growing up? haha.

  • I was 17 when this came out, yes, I am fucking old but I still love it, loved the other Nirvana as well, what this reminds me of, you probably don't want to know, lol

  • The story of simon simopath is one of the greatist albums ever made. rivalling the best of the beatles or that of the beach boys. Never off my ipod. Cant recommend it enough. Needs to be enjoyed as a whole

  • I expected grunge and i think i was right.

  • Pity this seems to be the only performance clip (yes where's Alex?). Would have loved to see the performance in France where Dali splashed black paint on them during Rainbow Chaser.

  • @SuperNevile wow, how do you know about that?

  • @giorgioarmanizavos .

Sleeve notes on the 'Travelling On A Cloud' Nirvana Compilation CD ~ a good buy. Also mentioned on some Nirvana web sites.

  • nirvana?

WHERE'S KURT COBAIN? at the drum?

    ....i'm kiddin' :)

  • Weird, looks like Bill Nelson on guitar in this clip...definitely not Alex

  • Naw...more like "Sappy." lol.

  • Read the book Psychedelic Days.....and learn the real facts about the Nirvana-UK.

  • Read the book Psychedelic Days and take a real TRIP! ..... into the the world of Nirvana-UK... DALI....THE STONES....HENDRIX....ISLAND RECORDS. MOJO of

London REVIEW said "one of the best books written about the 60's music scene in London,Paris, Hamburg and Morocco...... a real HAPPENING!

  • A very underrated band.

What a pity that an overrated band stole them their name.

  • Hi,I am in contact with Dave the drummer from this band,he is a good friend of mine and a great guy,he is currently working on a song at his home studio and personally I have a strong feeling after hearing a demo that this is the one he has been waiting for.Dave I wish you all the luck with this one because you deserve it,your friend Michael(YOUR PERSONAL ENGINEER)LOL

  • This is just like PEN CAP CHEW

  • GANG DE CAVE Y A 2 BAND QUI SAPELLE NIRVANA TABARNAC

  • Looks like Nirvana US in Unnplugged show .P

  • Never seen them on film before. What an under rated band. Thanks for posting.

  • is this the same Nirvana??? ;D

  • so many memories go with this song ...thank you for bringing back my past

  • The thing about Nirvana U.K. was the breadth of song types ~ Tiny Goddess one of my favourite tracks from '67; (probably the greatest year in pop history, to Rainbow Chaser, a pyschedic classic, to 'Oh What A Performanc'; which I think, has one of the most amazing piano riffs on record, to 'All Of Us' one of the best pastoral anthems ever.

  • One of THE greatest bands ever to walk the planet....

  • Great! If you want to find out the real story for Nirvana, please read my new book "Psychedelic Days," and keep an eye out for my new cd coming out the 13 Dalis.

    Patrick Campbell Lyons

  • Great ballad!

  • Underrated band, but exceptionally good!

  • why why why this band not make it big

  • They where a success by any standard, what are you talking about?

  • cream played here also

  • This is definitely proto-grunge. [sarcasm] Love it.

  • Wow even this Nirvana isn't bad haha

  • Awesome song. I heard about this Nirvana from a friend of mine. I now own a copy of "Traveling On A Cloud". I'm simply blown away! Pure psych talent.

Do you have a better quality video which you can share with me for my personal collection?

  • kris novo(bass) and (cello), alex spyropoulos(harpsichord) pat smear( guitar) dave grohl (bongos and percussion) courtney love and patrick campbell-lyons (vocals)......what a surreal trip! i would pay serious money to go and see them at next years Glastonbury .....come on eavsie get your ass in gear!

  • the remains of both nirvanas should unite!

    progressive psychedelic grunge rock!

  • That would be soooo cool! :D

  • @gR8FuLpOnTiAc Dude, I know it's late, but... I should try that!

  • Where is Alex?

  • Wow , I´ve seen old posts that comment the same subject.

  • think again kid?

  • Thanks for posting this! I have been looking for it all over, I couldn't remember the neme of the band

  • can someone tell where i can find a good version of nirvana from the uk song "love is" ?

  • "And now I have heard their 1960's music, and I think. Yeah go for it boys. See ya down the boozer!!! "

*lol!* ^_^ -- *This* Nirvana is the original & the best, always!

Thank you so much for uploading, fritz5172!

  • why you sound like your about to have a heart attack..calm down

  • Both Nirvana the Grunge band and The British Band right here were both good.

  • Friends, this miming may look a little lame now, but believe me back in 68 singles like this fit right in with the progressive pop of The Move, The Nice, Family, etc etc.

Didn't even know these guys existed as a performing unit, though they were a couple of songwriter studio guys at best.

    thanks, thewordofgord

  • take your pajamas off and wait for nanny to come........that would be much better mate!!!!!!.........oh yea! and what kind of mushrooms are you talking about ...the Mingus kind is it?

  • Put your pajamas on and listen to Nirvana uk. Dream about mooshrooms and flying turtles. Wake up in the morning with your nanny next to you praying to Ali baba.

  • Or altenatively listen to dated 1990's grunge shit, my friend. Dream you're a suicidal Seattle smackhead but wake up to find you're a 30-year-old who still lives with their parents. Har har.

  • Don't deny it's shit though do you, Mr. "Horror" ?

Or that you don't still live with your parents Pappy and Mammy Horror.....

You grunge puppies are so sensitive.

  • i dont even listen to "grunge" dipshit so theres another misconception on your behalf your just racking them up? im pretty sure i was out of my house before you even got a job lol so calm down moron

  • Errr... bearing in mind I was well around when Nirvana UK were around I think that's extremely unlikely..... so you calm down arsehole.

  • Please attempt to write next time using correct punctuation with apostrophes and capital letters.... Oh dear me.

"your just racking them up ?" Great grammar usage there, (P)rick. HA HA HA HA..

  • Cool! I have a RnR encyclopedia that mentions this band but I have never seen them or heard their music before.

  • why are you all getting so fucking worked up! ......your all a bunch of " winkie wankies ".....it's only music and a few pill-heads on both sides of the atlantic getting "out of it".....as for you Painman!!! "get a life'..........

  • It´s good that they put that mic up for the cello player lady because she obviously knows what the fuck she's doing... ;))))) I know it's a playback but still... That's pretty funny. GREAT BAND though... I have their "best of" CD.

  • Exsqueeeeeeze me.... have you got the time please????

  • As opposed to what ? Sucking the wrong end of a 12 bore shot gun ?

  • HAHAHA

  • I du' know...where is he?

  • Where's Alex? That's Patrick on piano & Dave Preston on drums! Great song!

  • Agree with you about the song, Kris.

But where is Alex of the Greek surname ?

    Great band and great single.

  • Cobain ? Nah, that's just shit.

  • Patrick makes no comment - he's in London & Spain at the moment.

Alex is back in Greece - but I don't know why he wasn't in the video cos at the time he lived in London - still - a great song! I think it was more Patrick's song than Alex's- whereas Tiny Goddess was more the other way round.

Another great song - Rainbow Chaser!

  • Agreed ! I've just got hold of the three albums on CD. The third album, "To Markos III" is darker. I hadn't heard "Rainbow Chaser" until I got the second album. "Pentecost Hotel" is probably my joint favourite track though along with "In the Courtyard of the Stars". Great band and great memories.

    Cheers mate

  • this band is fucking amazing, love their songs! i founded them when i liked Kurt-nirvana and i thought that this was the same band but then i founded out it wasnt but i liked this more!

  • @ggn6 your post is the best way to get many enemies... But I AGREE the first band was finally better ....

  • Secos, antes si que habia musica

  • They remind me of The Kinks somewhat vocally.

  • Thanks so much for this posting!! I've ever loved their music, but never seen a video.

Is Alex the guy sitting at the keyboard?

  • No ...is Patrick!

  • People think NIRVANA (1990's) was all about Kurt Cobain's death and smack habit. But it was more than that. It was about the music.

  • Oh, calm down. He wasn't that good.

  • HO HO
