@psychodied This cellist's name is Sylvia A. Schuster.
What's interesting, I've just seen a video on YouTube called "Patrick Campbell-Lyons (Nirvana UK) on Jimi Hendrix" with Patrick reading his book, "Psychedelic Days". According to him, Hendrix saw Nirvana's performance in a recording studio and told Sylvia that he loved what she was doing (however, she didn't know who he is).
Maybe there is something more in the book... I didn't get it yet, but it must be very interesting!
I wish one of the two bands wasn't' called Nirvana; seems a lot of people are missing the point: They're not in competition to be the 'better' nirvana. it's just a coincidence!
Both bands are clearly great. Personally I prefer Kurt's Nirvana. from a cultural point of view they did more for 'the (western) world' . but these guys; not the 'Real' Nirvana but the origional Nirvana, wrote/write fantastic music too.
I was 17 when this came out, yes, I am fucking old but I still love it, loved the other Nirvana as well, what this reminds me of, you probably don't want to know, lol
The story of simon simopath is one of the greatist albums ever made. rivalling the best of the beatles or that of the beach boys. Never off my ipod. Cant recommend it enough. Needs to be enjoyed as a whole
Pity this seems to be the only performance clip (yes where's Alex?). Would have loved to see the performance in France where Dali splashed black paint on them during Rainbow Chaser.

Hi,I am in contact with Dave the drummer from this band,he is a good friend of mine and a great guy,he is currently working on a song at his home studio and personally I have a strong feeling after hearing a demo that this is the one he has been waiting for.Dave I wish you all the luck with this one because you deserve it,your friend Michael(YOUR PERSONAL ENGINEER)LOL
The thing about Nirvana U.K. was the breadth of song types ~ Tiny Goddess one of my favourite tracks from '67; (probably the greatest year in pop history, to Rainbow Chaser, a pyschedic classic, to 'Oh What A Performanc'; which I think, has one of the most amazing piano riffs on record, to 'All Of Us' one of the best pastoral anthems ever.
Great! If you want to find out the real story for Nirvana, please read my new book "Psychedelic Days," and keep an eye out for my new cd coming out the 13 Dalis.
kris novo(bass) and (cello), alex spyropoulos(harpsichord) pat smear( guitar) dave grohl (bongos and percussion) courtney love and patrick campbell-lyons (vocals)......what a surreal trip! i would pay serious money to go and see them at next years Glastonbury .....come on eavsie get your ass in gear!
Friends, this miming may look a little lame now, but believe me back in 68 singles like this fit right in with the progressive pop of The Move, The Nice, Family, etc etc.
Didn't even know these guys existed as a performing unit, though they were a couple of songwriter studio guys at best.
take your pajamas off and wait for nanny to come........that would be much better mate!!!!!!.........oh yea! and what kind of mushrooms are you talking about ...the Mingus kind is it?
Put your pajamas on and listen to Nirvana uk. Dream about mooshrooms and flying turtles. Wake up in the morning with your nanny next to you praying to Ali baba.

I recall in the early 1990's a story in NME that the 1960's (ain't never heard of them before) Nirvana were going to sue the Kurt Cobain Nirvana for nicking their nameah! Wot a bunch of chancers I thot. Like a spent Guy Faulkes rocket suing the Sun. Such a lazy underhand attempt at getting few quid from a band more dead than Queen Victoria, God Bless Her, seemed just awful. And now I have heard their 1960's music, and I think. Yeah go for it boys. See ya down the boozer!!!
It´s good that they put that mic up for the cello player lady because she obviously knows what the fuck she's doing... ;))))) I know it's a playback but still... That's pretty funny. GREAT BAND though... I have their "best of" CD.
Patrick makes no comment - he's in London & Spain at the moment.
Alex is back in Greece - but I don't know why he wasn't in the video cos at the time he lived in London - still - a great song! I think it was more Patrick's song than Alex's- whereas Tiny Goddess was more the other way round.
Agreed ! I've just got hold of the three albums on CD. The third album, "To Markos III" is darker. I hadn't heard "Rainbow Chaser" until I got the second album. "Pentecost Hotel" is probably my joint favourite track though along with "In the Courtyard of the Stars". Great band and great memories.
