Craig is a very good actor and I enjoy the majority of his movies but as Bond - no way! Bond in the books was a Commander in the Navy, an ex-Etonian, basically a snob with a job to do - he was not a viscious brute as suggested and therefore nothing like Daniel Craig's interpretation. I would say the closest would be a mix of what we have had before - the Scottish style of Connery, the fighting ability of Lazenby, the suaveness of Moore, the seriousness of Dalton and the looks of Brosnan.

I personally think that Daniel Craig is the best James Bond. He acted and worked really hard to get that role and deserved it. I know I would rather watch Daniel Craig coming out of the water than Sean Connery or Roger Moore or the others..This film was for the ladies...never mind his eyes check out his lips

The only reason he got the part was because he has piercing eyes. A huge part of the movie is Bond and Le Chiffre's eyes as they stare back and forth. The next movie will reveal whether or not he really is fit for the role.

i think theres more to daniel craig than just his eyes. the reason he was picked is beacause he can act and he has a more serious and realistic approach to bond which is what they wanted otherwise the series would have started to look more like star wars. at the end of the day bond is a secret agent and casino royale shows that! daniel craig showing that bond is a human being rather than a robot that goes around shooting people without thinking!!
