the reason why bhagat singh's photo is not on currency, bcoz if it is done then the people from all parts of india would want same for other freedom fighters which are many in number, so this way there will be argue b/w ppl bcoz in india we have only 7 type of notes form rs 5 note to rs1000 note. this is the real problem. ihope now u can understand. & also gandhi photo on notes was also not a good step, the earlier note were better with no photo & only sign of our national emblem(four lions)...

You guys are arguing over the fact who was real freedom fighter, Gandhji (learn to give some respect even if you don't like him, remember Bhagat Singh and others stood by Lalaji's side against Simon Commission) or Revolutionaries. Don't you understand that they had common Goal and in my opinion same ideologies. Both of them wanted see not just a free India but society which was built and believed in principles of equality. HRA was renamed to HSRA to depict this very idea.

After Marathas defeated the Mughal they tryed to expand to Afghanistan. They were beat they the Durranis.And they failed in a Afghan expansion.Later the Afghans tried to attack India, by this time the Sikh empire was in Punjab. Sikhs drove the Afghans from a India expansion.Later one the British came and knocked out the heavy weights in India. Marathas,Sikhs,Mysore,etc.

Love this movie Ajay Devghan & Amrita Roa The Legend of Baghath Singh.

Don't fight each other you @SSS Holes.Its true that Sikhs had a big role in Saving Hinduism from the intolerant Mughal rulers like Aurangzeb. Not to stir things, up but to clarify:
1) Vineetbindal is saying Hindu soldiers never attacked Sikhs in Purataan times. This is false. Guru Gobind Singh Ji's first battles (beginning with Bhangani) were against Hindu hill raja coalitions. This is not however to say that Hindus are the enemies of Sikhs.
2) After Bhagat Singh wrote "Why I am an Atheist," he met Randhir Singh (Ghadr Party) and kept his Kesh and did Ardas in prison. The British didn't allow him to take Amrit despite his wish.
